Bds 4" With Pics

Recommended Posts

I wanted to post up a quick pic of my truck and say thanks to those that helped me along the way with some of the choices I made. The truck is a 2009 1500 4x4 and as you can see its a crew cab. It had a 2.25" leveling kit and the Helo 835 wheels along with 275/60/20 Cooper Zeon LTZ tires. This set up was ok but I wanted more. It rubbed often when I was off road and just turning into my driveway. I take the truck on to the beach and as some may know its not a smooth ride over and through some of the ruts.

I went with a BDS 4" lift with the optional leaf springs and it also has the upgraded shocks. They do not show on the website for the 4" just the 6 but they were available. I also added a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers. I was initially thinking of going with a Mickey Thompson ATZ then moved to a Toyo Open Country MT then settled on these for the price and availability. The truck rides great in fact its much better this way than before. The only thing I wish I had was 18x9 wheels versus the 20x9 wheels. The tires are more expensive and I like the look of a little extra sidewall. I know people will ask about the fender measurements. They are about 42 front and 42.5 rear. I didnt do a great job measuring this just a quick job. The truck was just cleaned up the other day up in the North East we have had constant bad weather and the salt on the road is excessive.

That looks awsome.

What size tires are they? didnt see it .

I put the same lift on my 2010 cc just tryin to decide on tire size.

do you have any rubb?

That setup your running is the look i was thinking when i lifted mine

Perfect

It does not rub at all and I am not talking about driveway aprons and stuff. I ran it up onto some snow piles to make sure. I did trim some when I had the leveling kit though. The tires area a 295/55/20. I was going to run the 305/55/20 if you look at the Nitto site you will see they run large. The 295/55/20 measures out to a true 12.5 for reference I think the 305/55/20 Good Year Duratrac only measures out to 12.4 inches. Its all relative and they would all fit. I went with that tire for price. I was able to get them for a much better deal than any of the others. I had a local shop that ordered them in for someone else and when I was looking they wanted to move them so took some off the final price.
