Recon Extreme Light Bar

Recommended Posts

I just got my light bar a couple days ago.

Ryan, are you gonna come help me install it?

J/K, thanks for the write-up and pics.

Sure, it really isnt that bad. I was fearing the worst as I hate doing anything electrical.

I have no problems doing the electrical, just gotta make time, too many things on my plate right now. Work and my motorcycle are taking all of my time right now

Wellivers used to be a world famous smorgasbord, but unfortunatly, is is closed. The business was sold and the new owners do not offer the smorgasdord, just menu items. I have heard mixed reviews but don't have any personal experience with them yet.

Excuse the mis-spelling. I was just thinking about the boiled shrimp they used to have. Way bigger than the ones we usually see around here. My memory bank seems to be filled with good food from the past!

They used to have really good food, but several years ago, everything went down hill. They tried several things to keep the business afloat, but the economy took it's toll. It is very sad to see a local icon that I grew up with close like that.

Got my Recon Xtreme Lightbar today. ( after a 5 month Back Order ) Their directions were not so good. I followed them and nothing happened. I mounted the bar, connected the white reverse light, plugged in the flat connector to the load resistor box they sent with the bar, and then plugged that into the truck connector. I connected the red wire to the red wire in the trailer harness. From what I am reading do I need to hook up that wire under the hood ? Or is there another wire I splice into ? Your help would be appreciated..

Use the wire taped to the bundle below the brake master cylinder and run it up to the smaller of the two studs on the front of the under-hood fuse block. Install a 40 amp j-case fuse an it's ready to send 12 volts back to the trailer connector.
