Recon Extreme Light Bar

I have the same light bar on my truck (2 years and no burnt out LEDs "knock on wood"), I used the behind the bumber 7-pin T adapter with mine also. There are so many people around who don't pay attention to their own vehicles let alone everyone else. I want other drivers to have as much warning as possible if I am stopping or turning. Hate when people have burnt out lights and you can't tell when they are stopping or turning, most people seem to have forgotten what blinkers are. :)

I ran the red wire into the 7 pin connector under the rear bumper.

I ran the white wire into the drivers side reverse light (green wire in the middle of photo)

hope these help

also dont forget to hook up the red wire under the hood too

Where EXACTLY did you connect the RED wire from the strip? I can't tell from the picture.

Thanks in advance.

I used the red wire in the 7 pin connector behind the bumper. if you go under the truck right at the bumper you will see a variety of different color wires (right behind the license plate area). Use the red one.

F I N A L L Y got all my ducks in a row!!!

A few things learned by experience:

Use the wire taped to the bundle below the brake master cylinder and run it up to the smaller of the two studs on the front of the under-hood fuse block. Install a 40 amp j-case fuse an it's ready to send 12 volts back to the trailer connector.

You can tap into the wiring of the t-adapter instead of the truck wiring. The contact directly across from the real wide one is 12v dc, and the one in the center is the back-up lights. I chose to hook it up this way to keep from messing with the truck wiring and I was too lazy to pull a taillight. Being really anal, I also whacked off about 2 feet of the 4-plug wiring and connected the plug back on so it would be neater up under the truck. It works great and really lights up the night.

Now, maybe Granny won't run up my *ss!

Thanks to Ryan!
