What Features/things Should Gm Put Into The Next K2?

Recommended Posts

Real cargo light button again. Under rail bed lights, to go along with the cargo light. Bed mounted, and interior mounted house plugs for running tools/computers etc. Easily changeable headlights like they used to be. No need to remove parts to change headlights. Seperate DRL's again while they are at it. Keep up with the AWESOME lighting (All round, tail lights headlights signals etc. are awesome on the 900 silverado's). 4x4, or at least an offroad package, with at least a foot of ground clearance at the LOWEST POINT of the front bumper. Foot and a half would be better. Don't tie this package into any specific gearing though, let the customer choose towing, highway, or middle ground. Include or have the option to have an electronic sway bar, and some GOOD all terrain tires. Suspension options for the offroad package would be nice. Not everyone likes super stuff shocks for farm work. A2DP bluetooth music streaming. Just about every other company has a way to stream music, text messages, navigation from phones etc. to the radio. GM can only do voice. Not safe, and not convenient in todays mobile world. Continue with the USB and AUX ports, but make them easily replaceable (like the USB port in the true truck 900s). Those ports break easily in every device, keep it simply to replace. Keep with the "modular" idea. It is a blessing to a customer who purchases a vehicle with the assumption it has an option, finds out it doesn't, and is able to simply buy a few parts and add it. Allow the removal of AFM!!

Don't let the bench seat die. Storage without compromising usable space.

Normal stuff, but it seems to be lacking now a days.

A Front suspension system that is actually made for work and can have a plow on it with out it saging like crazy. Higher stance. Way better tires from the factory. Front suspension is key, why even make a truck when your trying to make it perform and ride like a car, or just have a " special editon" truck with coil over springs for people who want a smoother ride and put straight axle in the rest.

I would really love to see the interior materials improve. I am sick of rattles. How about better exterior paint quality as well. ON the 2wd SLT, LT2&3, and LTZ, improvement to the rear suspension could be made by way of "air ride". Bring back a well built 350ci motor to replace the 5.3. Not sure why they did not do that in the first place.

Also, I would love to see something like the Ford Raptor, I would have bought a Ford Raptor if it would have came in "Crew Cab".

Mostly its the overall quality that I would like to see improved. I see some many ways that GM cheaped out. For instance, my fold away mirrors are crap, so many have this issue. If the quality is improved GM would not spend so much on warranty issues, the savings would most likely be more than what they saved by buing cheap goods and materials. But most of all it will bring repeat customers.

More customer support would be nice. Put some rules in place for dealerships to go by. Stand by your product better.

One thing they NEED to do is get their heads out of their asses and STOP with the wax coating on the frames. Both Ford and even cheap ass Dodge Ram both have moved into the 21st and have E-coated frames. The black gooey wax crap is just a cheap way to do it plain and simple.

Higher quality interior materials than don't rattle and squeak and higher quality cloth and leather.
