DID NOT GET THE CAMPER WIRING PACAGE.NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN ADD IT ON WITHOUT HAVING TO SPLICE INTO THE HARNESS? OR IS THERE A PLACE TO PLUG THAT HARNESS INTO?

I have nevr used mine, but I see it coiled up along the frame rail on the underside of the bed on the drivers side... I'll check tomorrow to see if it is a modular type of plug....

Took me awhile to find it, but I knew I had recently read a thread on another forum about the very same thing. The don't start talking about this originally, but that is where they end up. Should be able to find all the info you need. (part numbers, where to plug the harness, etc)

i am not sure that have the trailer option but i see a wire loom between my truck bed abd cab. its just kind of taped up there.

That should be it... There shouldd also be a RPO code of UY2 on the sticker in your glove box.

I crawled under the truck a few minutes ago and I couldn't tell for sure how the wire loom connected because it is all tucked in up under the gas tank. If I had to guess I would think it is a "T-type" modular connection that just goes in between two connectors in the main harness. The reason I would say this is because it is only a $35 option, so it can't much of a big deal. Of course this is just a guess on my part...

What I would do is go to the parts counter at your dealer and have him bring up the wiring schematics on his computer. It would be very easy to see if this is actually the case for installation...

To install the UY2 harness to a truck that has the Z82 you have to unplug the rear receptacle and plug in the new harness. This harness is in a "Y" configuation. One end goes to the plug you unhooked from the back. Another end goes to the rear receptacle and the last end goes to the front of the box. I have put up a pic here so you look at it.
