FINALLY GOT FLOWMASTERS TODAY!

Recommended Posts

I love the sound.  I went with the 50 series SUV.  IT IS bad@ss!  I love the sound.  Not too loud, but definately very loud.  I have a question though.  I feel like i lost a lot of low-end torque off of this endeavor.  However, it feels like some of it came back later through the night.  Almost like my engine adjusted to it.  Is this possible, or is it just my imagination?  Thanks

Its very possible to lose some low end torque by losing back-backpressure (whether or not you did with your new setup) Youre computer "learns" constantly with every change.. Alot of LS1 Guys I know reset their ECMs by pulling certain fuses.. Ive done this also after unbolting/ and rebolting up my exhaust... It just helps your comp. "learn" quicker....

That's the idle re-learn procedure.

1) Turn ignition key on to "ACC"

In the case of the Camaro/Trans Am go to the underhood electrical center

2) Pull PCM BAT

3) Pull PCM IGN

4) let simmer for a minute or so

5) Turn off ignition

6) Re-insert PCM IGN

7) Re-insert PCM BAT

Some fo the trucks have underhood electrical centers, primarily the newer ones.  So this process would work there too.  However, on the older trucks, simply turn the ignition on to "ACC" and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Welcome to the Flowmaster family...you made a good choice going with flowmasters...as far as re-learning the computer...I didn't mess with it...the truck idled funny for awhile but then she fixed herself...I just figured she is like any other woman and couldn't make up her mine for awhile... :thumb:
