If Ya Couldn't Have A Gm

Since my next truck is going to be a 3/4 or 1 ton..... I'd have to say I'd go to a F350 if I couldn't go to a GM 2500HD. I love the SYNC technology that fully integrate everything into the vehicle systems among other things, and the styling of the exterior of the 350's. I've never been a fan of the interiors of the Dodges or the Fords however, I guess I'll have to adapt.

Since my last post, I've made a change.

Hands down, I would go with a Ram 2500. The new body styles (2010+) inside and out are awesome... I actually test drove a 2011 Ram 2500 Longhorn Laramie last week.... wow. My buddy has a 2011 Ram 3500 Laramie diesel and it is beautiful. The "infotainment" system far exceeds anything GM has... unfortunately. The cabs SEEM roomier and suspension appears to sit higher than GM's 2500HD.

The only reason I didn't buy a RAM instead of the current GMC is RAM doesn't have an Extended Cab long bed. So if GM was not totally out, I would go with a Yukon and a trailer.

If I had to..Toyota hands down. It's all my dad has ever driven from cars to trucks. I think he's on his 12th now between him and my mom. The tundra is sexy and I love the back window idea. One of my buddies has a fully loaded tundra and tows every weekend with it never had an issue and it's very comfortable. My moms 4.0 Tacoma TRD is nice. Not a lot of space but it hauls ass:p love my gms tho. I hope I never have to change.

I have changed my mind.............If I could not have a GM truck, I would have to go wit ha RAM. After driving a new one, I like it, loads of power and nice and smooth. I still don't like the interior look BUT the exterior of the truck is the best looking on the market IMO. If it were possible, I'd have the body of my Silverado replaced with a RAM body. It would be perfect that way.

I would probably go with a new F-150 Super Crew. I have always been a GM man but the 2010 F-150 crew I have for a work truck is a great truck. The truck is extremely comfortable, rides great, runs great, I like the stance of the truck and the back seat is huge, not to mention a 36 gallon fuel tank.

Nice truck. The counties in Indiana really get pretty neat police cars. The big cities just get the plain crown vics or impalas.

Would definitely have a Lariat F-150 with the Ecoboost engine option if I didn't have my GM truck. Those things have plenty of low end grunt to make them feel quick and aren't too bad when they've got a load behind them either. And you just can't beat Ford's interior in my opinion.

We went with Ford for two main reasons The F-150 has more room in the back seat than a GM truck so in the event you wanted to install a cage you can and still slide the seat all the way back. I'm 6'2" so like the leg room. And I guess the biggest reason for going with Ford is the gov. discount, you get between an $8000.00 to $10,000.00 discount whether you buy one or twenty. I actually called the local Chevy dealer when we were shopping around and he said in order to get gov. discount we had to buy at least ten.

Lots of full-sized room for plenty of suspects back there, eh? Is that an overflow area behind the cab? :D
