2010 Silverado 6" Bds Before And After

Recommended Posts

Looks really good! What size wheels and tires are they? And I actually like the black grill that is on that truck.

Thanks!

The tires are 305/55/20's

hey django do your tires rub with that kit

Rubbed in reverse wheel turned hard right at the Left front wheel well forward. Pushed the plastic inner shroud forward by hand no rubbing now but still very close. I need to zip tie it or use a additional push-in fastener to secure it forward permanently.

is that with 35 inch tires

33"

you have rub with 33s on a 6inch kit

Just the front left with the wheel turned all the way to the right rubs on the outer crown of the tire. Could have been the inner plastic shroud just loose. Like I said I just pushed it forward with my hand stopped the rubbing but it is still close. It is the width of the tires that causes the rubbing issues more than the diameter on these late model GM trucks. I will snap a photo were the tight spot is and upload it if it ever stops raining here in Detroit.

The rubbing is probably caused by the backspacing of your wheels more then anything. Do you happen to know the backspacing?

I don't know the back spacing but you are probably right. The tires do stick out past the wheel wells a bit more than the stock ones did. You don't hear or feel it going forward but the Nitto's aggressive tread catches the bottom edge and makes a bit of a noise in reverse.

Here are a few photo's of the tightest spot.

Let a heat gun be your friend. Warm it up and form it with a piece of wood or your hand..With a glove on of course.

P.S. Nice clean truck.

Those wheels are 9" wide and have 0mm offset (5" backspacing).

That's why i still needed to trim with 305/50/20 (stock height, just wider) on a 3" body lift. NO way would i have been able to keep my 305/55/20 ATZs with these wheels.

I have the rancho lift that nets a little better than five inches and I rub exactly like that with 33x12.5's on 5" backspacing. Let me know what you decide to do to fix the rub.. it isnt bad so I havent fixed mine yet but I am interested to see what others do and how it looks and works out..
