ordering a HD

Recommended Posts

Friend of mine ordered a 2500HD C/C 6.0 last Monday the 9th, dealer called him a few days later with a build date and said he should have by end of Oct. does this sound right and is there a website to track the build or the transport of it ? Shaners if you see this being how you are from Pa also, did you ever hear of Centenial Chevrolet down on 51 just north of Uniontown ?

I'm sure that someone here might be able to help with the building info of your buddies truck.  I would think that him having the truck by the end of OCT wiould be no problem.  Right now I think that most people are getting their new rides in about 6 weeks or so...

I'm not familiar with Centenial Chevrolet, but I have seen their ads in the truck trader and in the Pittsburgh Paper.

When you get your SOS-sales order number, pass it on and I will give it to someone who can check on it for you. You will get a TPW-tenative production week, at the same time or within a couple of weeks.

Your dealer should get a weekly update on or about Thursday. He should be able to print out a Vehicle Order Event History.

This can be printed out at any time by him. I can email you a copy of mine so you can see one. It contains:

Event Description, effective date, end date, system source, process ID.

Sequence is:

Preliminary order accepted

Preliminary order  added

order changes

accepted by GM

Preferenced

Accepted by production control

available to sequence

scheduled for production

broadcast

My order was accepted on 8-20 and delivery is scheduled for 10-10. My dealer says delivery is usually about 5-7 days before the scheduled date.
