09 Silverado 1500 Updated Pics

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I've been on here or posted. Had the truck for a little over a year and a half now. Got it with 6 miles and currently going on 34,100miles. Haven't had a single issue or complaint. Finally built my dream truck for now.

Sorry for so many pics, I got carried away lol. Enjoy. Any questions feel free it ask.

Truck looks beautiful. Do you have any rubbing issues with the tires or traction control problems? Only reason I ask is because on my 09 F150 the Roll Stability Control would activate whenever I would hit a dip while turning. It was super annoying and I don't want to have the same problems with my new Silverado.

I had to do a little bit of trimming. nothing crazy. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them. I've had them for about 12,000miles now and have never had an issue with traction control or stability control kicking in. I completely eliminated wheel spin at the ramp with the boat lol. Before when the ramp was wet my stocks would spin a bit. Now the ramp can be completely drenched and full of sea weed and nothing. I couldn't get them to spin if I wanted too lol.

The lift you used, is that the one that a lot of people had issues with. Im asking because its the one i wanna buy in the spring, but i heard of people having issues with ball joints wearing out fast.

I'm going on 20,000miles now with the lift and haven't had an issue with it yet. I drive pretty aggressive too. usually 70-90 on highways and don't slow down much for the exits lol. I drive it like I do my g37 :D

Also, the kit says you can use your original control arms and ball joints if you want. all you gotta do is cut of the bump stops so your control can travel farther. I don't know if thats what some people did to save money. I got the kit with the new control arms and ball joints from rough country so I wouldn't have to cut anything off. Hope this helps.
