Aftermarket intake whistle or high pitch sound

Does anyone experience a whistle sound or other high pitch sound after a K&N FIPK, Volant intake, Airaid intake or any other intake replacement was installed?

I had a K&N FIPK in another vehicle and it had a sound of air being sucked into it.

I am looking to buy one for our 2002 2500HD 6.0L and am hoping for members input.

Thanks!!

Yeah, all of the aftermarket intakes will have more noise.  Because they are drawing in more air you get that air sucking sound that it makes when you step on the gas.  I have the UPD intake kit and it added a little more noise, which I like, and definatelly made a difference power wise.  I put some holes in the lower part of the airbox that was a stock peice also to draw in more air (and to drain water when I get some in there) to compliment the UPD intake kit, and that makes somemore nosie too.   :thumb:
