2010 Silverado Leveling Kit

Recommended Posts

Hey want to get a leveling kit for my 2010 silverado and I want it to be perfectly level and I have seen that there is a lot of hype around the rc 2". This is the kit correct http://roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_leveling_kit.html and does it make it level . I have also heard that its not really idel to go any higher than 2" but I want it to be level. Anyone have any pictures of your z71 with the rc 2" leveling kit and stock size tires?

RC makes a great kit. I installed one on my 2005 2.5 years ago and have loved it. My truck sits about a quarter inch higher in the back. It looks perfectly level you can't even tell it isn't unless you measure. I also installed the RC nitro 9000 shocks and they are great. You won't regret the getting the RC kit.

Its the best height.. that or 1.5" Even though its a little higher in the back, the way the truck is designed it makes the front look higher with the 2" level. Atleast my truck did when i had a 2" RC kit.

I agree. I had a 2" kit on my old truck, and it looked like it was taller in the front. In reality though, it was actually .5 higher in the back. Sorry, but I don't have any pics of the old truck.

just wondering did anyone have alignment problems after installing it?

no "problems" but you gotta go get your truck aligned after its installed or you will wear the insides of your tires funny.

+1 You absolutely need to get an alignment done after installing any leveling kit.

What size rims and tires are on your truck? Looking to get the same leveling kit and I have 18 inch rims. I was thinking about getting 275/70/18.

i found a 3.5" leveling kit that used a 3" lift spacer and a .5" lower shock spacer along with 2" blocks in the back. would installing this on my 2009 silverado cause any problems with the angle of the driveshaft and the rear end or should i be ok. the only reason i want anything more than just a leveling kit is to clear 33's in the future. any info on this would be helpful

You must me talking about the "new" RC lift. See my sig. Do not put this kit on, nothing but problems from everyone that has/had it. Just do the 2" leveling kit and a 1.5" BL. Trust me. That's a 3.5" lift that will easily clear 33's. Hell, you can clear 33's with just a leveling kit.

it is a kit made by supreme suspension.. never heard of them before but was hoping maybe i could sqeeze a little extra height outta something like that before you start jumping in price to a 4" suspension lift. also with using blocks in the back are tapered blocks necessary??
