Recommended Posts

Is this a weak cam for my truck if so how much bigger can I go?

Advertised duration: 244 intake/264 exhaust

* Duration at .050 in.: 194 intake/214 exhaust

* Gross valve lift: 398 in. intake/442 in. exhaust

* Lobe separation: 112 degrees

* RPM range: Idle to 5,500

Thanks Guys!

What are the stock specs to compare it too?

Personally, I see waaayyyy too much duration, especially with a close 112 L.S.  But without stock specs it's kinda hard to compare.

Also, I don't know if you have to worry about emissions where you are at, but 112 L.S. is on the borderline of being "dirty."  I know a lot of guys around here running 112's and they pass, but they have to go to other hoops to make sure they pass.

Matter of fact, the cam in my LS1 is 116 to be sure I pass with ease.

I wouldn't call it a pansy cam though as it looks like it'd make a lot of torque with those specs.  Might not be a big HP cam though.
