I noticed a drop when I went from the OEM 265/65s to the 285/65s. So far, I havent had this on the highway yet, but my guess is I'll lose about 1-2 mpg due to the increased wind resistance.

I really wish I had 4.10s from the factory...I think this setup would be perfect for it. But I think I'm going to go with 4.56 and 295/70 in the future.

thanks!

Got another alignment after 500 miles today...the Toe had somehow gone from 0.0 to -0.3 on the right front, maybe from suspension settling?

Anyway, drives straight and rides nice... gotta love "lifetime alignments"

I recently put the same lift on. I had a simular allignment problem. I had it aligned and is pulled right so i took it back. some how the toe was out. They said they fixed that and maxed out my caster so there was no more adjustment and they couldnt do anything if it still pulled (this is belle tire). Ofcourse it pulled still so i took it to a local guy who said the same and told me to he was puting ofset bushings in my upper controle arms. he failed to mention how much it would cost in labor. to make a long story short. I got rooked on the price, cost 600 bucks and the damn thing is still pulling right. I am having him fix that problem, he thinks its the tires i think he doesnt have it aligned right. who knows, i guess the positve thing is i now have plenty of room for future adjustment with offset bushings.

weird...mine isnt pulling but I do notice a bit more tire wear on the outer edge of the right front tire... maybe coincidence or not, I dunno...

You and me both...I know that after 600 bucks I dont want ANY! pull. I am taking it back and will have it fixed. Unfortunately its a stubborn old timer who believes the tires and lift make it unable to have perfect. I strongly disagree

which specs did you go with...the Rancho recommendation or the OEM one?

I had the local Firestone align it both times, they printed out the alignment sheet and the numbers are within both specs.

I wonder if your issue is more the align-er...and not the align-ment....???? Did you do the install yourself? Was your truck ever in an accident?

I just took it to belle and asked to have it alligned and same at the local shop. Maybe I should check into the rancho specs...

I installed with a friend and never been in an accident

thats right, I remember now reading the post on your truck after you guys installed your lift, which is what inspired me to get off my butt and get mine finished.

Rancho has the install instructions posted on their site...

If you have the printout of your alignment I can compare to mine and see where we're at if you'd like.

I have the print out from belle but that has completely changed because the local shop re did it all. But i remember him telling me my toe was set at 0 degrees i believe and he had my camber? maybe caster? set at 3.4 on the right and a little less than that on the left to compencate for the curvature of the roads.

I just re-read your post from earlier...you said your local guy went ahead and changed the UCA bushings and now claims it the tires after doing all the "labor" to install the bushings?? Sounds like the tires should have been his first concern if at all...unless he's just in it to make some $$. I dunno...

I'll track down my alignment sheet and see if I can scan it and post here....maybe that will help you out. Mine doesnt pull, but like I said wears the outer edge of the right front tire more than the left (its only about 1/8"-1/4" or so...so not terrible). Maybe some of the experts here can see it and let us all know what the deal is.....

Cheers,

Good to see you fit in the garage. Thats my only fear how far i can go with keeping the truck in the garage being a detailing freak. Truck has 285 70s on stock 17s with 2.5 front leveling spacers, and I plan on keeping the stock wheels for now. I just got the 285 70 goodyear duratrac's so no plan on upgrading. I think the rancho might be my best option yet for when i do the lift over the winter/spring. Then different set of rims and trucks done.
