Most miles with Dmax

Recommended Posts

You're pretty close with the deliver trailers idea.  From what I've read Broker is a car broker, who buys off-lease vehicles at auctions (usually in Canada) and sells them at autions far away from where he bought them (like Louisianna!).  He has a fleet of trucks, including 3 D-maxs which are all crew cab 3500s (the '01 mentioned above, an '02 and an '03 allready).  they are permanantly hitched to '53 slant car hauler trailers and driven by teams of 2 or 3 drivers.  He also has some F-450 (or are they F-550s?) PSDs that he uses for the same duty.  Broker has posted maintenance records, drivers logs etc. and I'm sure the truck has put on the miles.  He has the highest running speed (miles/engine hours) (something over 60 MPH) and lowest running fuel economy (something less than 10 MPG) that I've seen for a Duramax, but that's because they are always working.  If they aren't pulling loads they are not running, and they aren't earning money.

I for one would like to go on the record thanking Broker for being a trailblazer and letting the rest of us go along for the ride.  His experiance has made me very comfortable with my purchase.  Every time he posts anywhere somebody who hasn't seen the history concludes that he's mistaken or worse.  He isn't, he just the one with the highest mileage who's bothered to tell anyone about it.

This is sort of off this topic. BUT who has the lowest milage on there 2001HD for months owned. I got my 2500hd Oct of 2000, as of today it has 15,350 miles. It's use almost 100% for towing my travel trailer. The commute car is a 2002 VW GTI with the new 201 HP 24 valve VR6. (Read Pocket Rocket)

MemphisDoug

You're averaging 622 miles a month, I'm averaging 695 miles. I also have two 4,000 mile camping trips in the last 2 summers, so it adds it up fast and then sits in the garage. I drive it to work 4 time a month (36 mile round trip) and a couple of weekends a month.

01 D/A, 468,571 mi. About to be retired.

Extremely satisfied.

I read where in March of this year you had 270,000 miles. How on God`s green earth can it be possible to put close to 200,000 miles on any thing but aircraft in 5 months?

If it is true, that would be no less then spectacular
