OBD II readers

Recommended Posts

I want something inexpensive to read my OBD II and show plots (including the enhanced info) and such on my laptop. I have reviewed the AutoXray and the Autotap web sites. Both look like they will do the job. AutoXray looks to be a more mature product, but Autotap looks like it has better plots. Autotap will be more expensive, but not by much.

Is anybody using either of these?

Did I miss any other brands?

This will be for personal use. '01 GMC 3500 van and '02 1500hd pu. I tow with my van at max GCVW and would like to watch the trans temp, shifting, TCC lockup and RPM in/out while towing. Of course, I will be looking at engine stuff also.
