Air Box mod

I though I would post this here since the mod I saw required cutting the inner fender.

 

In one of the sport truck mags was an article of an install of a MagnaCharger on a 4.8L GMC Stepside.  One part they show cutting two large oval holes in the air box, putting foam around the edges and have corresponding oval holes cut in the inner fender.  Of course there was no real detail for the mod.

 

Does anyone have more detail and template about this mod?

 

I'm looking to do this mod and add the Ultimate Performance & Design air intake to a 5.3L.

I have the UPD and here's what I did to open it up..........

The lower hole has a duct into the box, I cut it flush. The I opened the frount facing side of the box, behind the turn signals, aprox 3x4 inches.
