Z71 suspension swap

Hey everyone-

 

I was curious to find out if I could put on a Z71 suspension system that was removed from a stock Z71 2002 1500.   He had an aftermarket susp lift put on, and I am assuming he has the stock Z71 shocks, lift blocks and spindles.  I have a 99 2wd 1500.  What do y'all think?  Is it possible?  Sorry for the Newbie question

Z71 shocks wont fit a 2wd truck.  I was going to sell mine (took off and replaced with bilsteins) to a guy with a 2wd but it was discovered they wouldnt work

Those parts won't work for the 2wd.  I wouldn't say it was impossible...given enough time and money, I guess you can modify your truck to accept those parts.

you'd be better off just buying some aftermarket shocks for your truck.  The Z71 package isn't anything really special, just shocks, skid plates, and stickers.

What i am really looking for is a cheap way to get a suspension lift for my 2wd.  I called my local 4wheelparts, and they said it would not work.  Thanks again for your replies.  Anyone here got a cheap susp lift for a 99 2wd silverado?

~$650 bucks will get you a 3" spindle lift from FabTech or ProComp.

That and a Body Lift would probably be cheapest..  ProComp & Fabtech's 6" Susp Lifts are ~$1400

 

3" will bring you up to the same hight as the stock z71's and make enough room for those 285's.
