Congrats on the new truck! Just a heads up, when you put on a bull bar, you will lose your tow hooks(if that matters for you). I have a buddy that has a bull bar and it looks alright. What colour is your truck? There's several companies in the US and a few local suppliers in Canada. Where are you located?

I didn't tell my full story on the bull bar. I orderd one from CarID.com and they sent the wrong one. So I called the manufactory that made it(Aries ) they said they don't make one for an 08 Denali and that they shouldn't of sent you one. Me a friend tried installing and the holes didn't match up and there wasn't enough holes.the one they sent me was for a Yukon or 02/06 chevy pickup

I ordered mine from Realtrucks.com which was a Aries also, I would assume that tow hook locations on a Denali wouldnt differ from a regular 1500 seeing it mounts to the frame. Aries offers two types of mounting setup asside from chrome or black powdered coat finish. I ordered the one that requires trimming of the lower valence, which hides the mounting brackets inside, where the other set up shows the mounting brackets and doesnt require any trimming. As I stated in one of my earlier post when I posted pictures of my truck, It bothered me cutting my lower valence, but ultimately it turned out great, check out my garage to see what I am talking about. Aside from the bar sitting up a little higher than the Westin and other brand names, after some time I came to like it and have no regrets.

I just called realtrucks.com they said they don't make them for a Sierra Denali yet. I guess the frame is different. I will look under a Sierra and compare. Thanks for the suggestion.

Here is what you need to look for under a regular Sierra 1500 frame, page 2 on the instructions shows illustrations of the mounting holes. (note this is the instruction for trimming of the valence set up)

A friend had the Weston Bull Bar on his Z71 until he hit a deer. Most of the damage was where the bar bent and crushed into his truck. He might have had less damage without it. That thing had very little strength and did not do anything more than add chrome to the front. I understand replacing the front bumper with a bull bar type bumper that improves clearance and survives rough terrain but those Westin Bull Bars are all show.

If you want the look go for it. For me tow hooks are much more useful.

I would recommend Westin for a bull bar. IMO they fit the best on the newer GM trucks. The Aries one sits too high. Here is a pic of my 07 with one. Just remember they are a light bar and nothing else. They won't protect the truck from anything, probably cause more damage with it on if you had a collision. But they look nice and serve there purpose.
