Ok. I dont have a scanner here at home but im pretty sure my printer at work has one. I'll try to get the readouts posted up tomorrow. What kind of dynos tend to show overzealous readouts? (all this is making me miss my old 83 chevy pickup more and more I actually KNEW it had 465 hp  haha) BTW thanks everyone so far for all the input. If i want to achieve my goal Its looking as if im going to have to take a different approach.

and yes it is dynoed at 353.21 flywheel hp.

Oh, you're talking flywheel HP, rather than the more relevant RWHP that matters when you are driving around. Flywheel HP is higher than RWHP due to the parasitic loss of the drivetrain. RWHP could be anywhere from 15-20% lower than flywheel HP. Conservatively, a 15% parasitic loss on 353.21 flywheel HP translates into ~300 RWHP.

It is actually a lot lower than 20%, we have encountered engines that are 35-40% lower. It is very common for a 305HP 5.3L to put down 235-240HP at the wheels on a noninflated dyno (eg. DynoDynamics or Mustang Dyno).

You can call it sketchy if you want bt its whats up believe it or not. I'm not here to just play around. And yes i am very aware of parsitic losses due to the drivetrain. Im not even remotely going to try to get 400 rwhp. The amount of modification that would be needed would be tremendous and im not looking to get that kind of power to get 400 hp to the ground would take over 550hp at the flywheel and id be better off with a completely different engine. but Im looking to keep the block ive got. even with 353 at the flywheel I might be putting 280hp to the ground.... maybe... but back to the initial question does anybody have any suggestions for more power? ANYONE?

There is too many sketchy parts to this story..

To me it sounds like he really had no idea what he has, but had an idea where he wanted to go. There are a bunch of folks here that will help him spend his money the right way.

Headers and ditch the Slowmasters for a good muffler like Magnaflows.

About the only things that are going to "bolt on" horsepower are without a super charger are...

CAI

Exhaust/Headers

Maybe underdrive pulleys

and a good custom tune

If your tranny feels kinda soft I would find out if your tuner messed with the TCM functions or just the PCM. If the TCM has not been tuned you are leave A LOT of performance (not necessarily hp, but acceleration and drivability) on the table.

Also you may consider a Vette Servo for your tranny.

A throttle body spacer does nothing but lighten your wallet and if you ever talk to anyone that says different they don't really know anything about motors. At least modern motors.

At this point, it seems like you have already covered your bases. The only thing left would be a STS turbo.

agreed...forced induction or crack open the engine....that's pretty much all you can do for more power once all the bolt ons are well bolted on.

Click on the link for SLP and get a 427 rotating assembly and a top end kit...Go to your local machine shop and get your block bored and clearenced for a 7.0L....guaranteed you'll make over 400hp than.

I've heard of several people doing that. what does it do for the transmission? how does it help with shift points? also thanks to everybody so far. I'm starting to get a pretty good idea where im going to have to go to get this kind of power. and I'm learning a few things about these engines. and also the TCM is seperate from the PCM? I thought the PCM condrolled the whole deal..... And i didnt even know there was something called a TCM. ( I'm assuming Transmission Control Module).... How can i change that?

And since most peole are saying that forced induction or cracking th block are all i can really do I guess thats where I'll go to. Which leads me to ask what would be be the best otpion to go with? should I go with a roots style charger like a Magnacharger? or centrifigul like a vortech system? andybody using either setup? and tell me what you think of that. Also what would be better? a turbocharger setup? or a supercharger? Im looking for drivability if i go forced induction. so which system is going to be beter suited to drive around daily do heavy towing, etc....

if you want cheaper horsepower without forced induction or going into the motor a nitrous kit will get you to your goal

Giggle gas is not real HP though.:driving: Its only...some times HP

If you want a good blower, you cant miss with a Magnacharger....talk to Jennabear, she'll hook you up. Also probably your best bet for drivability, and lower maintenance.

If you are looking for Turbo....STS (Squires Turob Systems) is an awesome turbo setup.

Big no to the nitrous. I want always horsepower... occasional time limited horsepower... hahaha. I've heard turbos are better for high end power and tend to be better for really high horsepower situations. and superchargers are more low end power. Also How bad is the turbo lag on a STS system? or is there any?
