No...ordered a pair of slip on Longviews for the time being.

Should be here today. Picture was taken last night at local marina.

Needed a flat parking lot to set up the WD hitch.

First trip with the travel trailer. Truck did fantastic and I got right around 13 mpg. The trailer looks a little nose-high in the picture but it's just the angle of the photo. The thing was just as level as could be and yes, I was using a WDH and friction sway control.

I'm thrilled with the towing experience with this truck. GVWR of the trailer is 3850. Truck has 5.3 and 3.42 rear so I'm pretty sure I'm not exceeding my towing capacity :D

I can't wait to take it out again but work is taking up all my free time LOL

snap a pic of them on your truck and let me know if you like them...I have tow OEM tow mirrors, but my wife hates backing in our out of the garage with them...thinking next go around I will just order with regular mirrors and put some clip ons

I'm in the same boat. My last truck was a 2500 D/A with tow mirrors. It only cleared garage doors by about 1" a side.

That's why I am giving the slip on's a try. Going camping this weekend this weekend.

I will snap a pic and let you know how they work on Monday. I'm sure they won't be as nice to tow with as the factory tow mirrors.

Hopefully I can live with the trade off.

Getting ready to go away for the week.......Again!

Giving the 5.3L a little break from towing. When we take the big camper, I use the better equipped truck.

The 'ole V-Max pulls my 28' travel trailer like nothing is even connected to the truck. Only down side is the 11mpg or worse we have been getting with it all summer.

2008 Silverado Vortex Max, 3.73 gears, WD hitch.

Ok,

The good.. They don't look horrible and I can see past the trailer with them.

The bad.. Fit too loose around the stock mirrors making them hard to keep adjusted. I'm gonna try adding some self stick foam inside them to get a tighter fir and see if it helps. Will be towing on Wed. again, so hopefully I can get this done before then.

Looks good Black Z71!!! What model Grey Wolf? Loaded weight?

It's a 2014 model "26C" Limited with double slide outs.

Had it scaled at the beginning of the summer fully loaded and it was 6,041lbs. That's loaded with just about everything we need.

It may sound silly but the only reason we got this new one is because my 'off duty supervisor' (as she refers to herself) wanted the double slide outs for more room inside. Our other travel trailer only had a single slide and was a little crammed if two people were attempting to walk past each other. She also liked the way this one was set up compared to our old one.

Seems like every few years she finds an excuse to want to upgrade. I plan on keeping this one for a long time, it has everything we need plus more and the set up is perfect. My parents made out, they ended up with our 2011 for the cost of the registration transfer.

I swear I took a pic from other side. Seems to have disappeared from my phone. I will take another tomorrow and post it.

Looks like a sweet floor plan! How do you like having a slide under the awning?

Never really had a large camper that did not have the awning over the slide so I guess I really don't have an opinion about that.

Do you notice the "lost space" under the awing because of having a slide curbside?

Our current trailer is our first one with a slide. It is only a couch slide (about 6'), but still helps. Though we hardly ever spend a lot of time inside if we can help it.

Do you guys like the bathroom having it's own outside door??? That is one thing I think we will look for on our next trailer when that time comes.
