2009 Gmc Sierra... Bds 4 Inch Lift

Recommended Posts

If you do decide to get rid of your All-Terrain wheels...if it comes to that i will be interested in buying them.

Possibly... if it isn't safe to run the tires I want on them... I would be more willing to buy new ones if I have a buyer for these.

I got the truck in June,, so they aren't too old.

I'll send you a PM

Sounds good, let me know what you decide. If you end up keeping them that is fine to, just thought i would offer. Enjoy the lift!

Sick now ur making me want to lift my truck not level it! dam U!!!!

I started down that same path... I was going to do leveling kit, throw 1.5 inch body lift....

but I had a feeling I will just end up wishing I did more.

Plus I wanted a lift that keeps the front geometry the same (leveling kit doesn't)

Kit was around 1790$

I bought the block kit from TeakaToys.. it was 1711.88...90 bucks cheaper then the 1802.01 directly from BDS website...shipping is FREE if sent to a local distributor,, Teakatoys is local in my town.

I paid $700 for my install, but I'm guessing you can find it anywhere from 500-750$.

I actually found a shop who could do it for 600$, but they needed a couple days.

The shop who did mine, I dropped it off at 1030AM, it was done at 4PM, in time for me to go get it aligned same day.

Anyone got suggestions for wheels/tire combo for add on for this lift??????/

I don't wanna go bigger then a 33x12.50 equivalent, and I'm reconsidering getting rid of the stock wheels for new ones.

Let me hear some suggestions, preferably with pics!

Wheels are a matter of taste, not only style, but also backspacing and offset. You will need to decide what u like in that department. I will say that I like 20" wheels if your going to buy aftermarket, they dont even look big on a lifted truck honestly anything else just looks small.

As far as tires go, there are only 3 (well really only 2 for me) that I would even bother looking at. (but again that depends on what your doin with the truck).

I would look at these three. The new Nitto Trail Grapplers (not TERRAS!) http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techarticles/...ires/index.html

Aggressive mud/trail tire with probably a similar compound to that found in the terra grappler, as it has on road performance, and longevity in mind. Supposedly its a good 40k+ mile tire compound.

Next tire would be these hankooks dynapro m/t

http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techarticles/...test/index.html

They are an aggressive, (similar pattern the the nittos) maybe a little more aggressive, and a lil more $, they are a full on mud-tire that run real good on the highways. I have read plenty of reviews of these tires lasting over 50k miles.

Next tire i would look at is the Pro-Comp xtreme A/T.

http://4wheelonline.com/ProCompXtremeAllTe...res.2518.243293

This is about as aggressive of an A/T tire that you can get. I personally ran these at a 33x12.5x20 size. I have about 30k on them and they are at half tread. They come with a 40k mile warranty, and they will lost beyond that, I am actually out of tire preservation mode and trying to wear them because I want to go with 35s or 37s. They go good off-road, great in snow, pretty good in mud (but im sure a pure M/T is better) they look really aggressive for an a/t and go great on highway, I live near pittsburgh, and work in philly so I am constantly making 300 mile trips with these things. Take em on the highway all week, then climb a muddy powerline on the weekend. cant say a bad thing about em.

Lastly there is one more tire that I am sure will be mentioned and thats the Mickey Thompson ATZ.

http://www.fourwheeler.com/techarticles/wh...test/index.html

Its in the same category as the procomp xtreme a/t. Its a tire thats in between an a/t and a full on m/t. The ATZ looks aggressive too but not as much as the Procomp, is a little better on-road where the xtreme a/t is a lil better off road.

Personally I am goin with the hankooks or the trail grapplers next.
