GM bed rail caps

Very happy with these caps.  Easy to install.  Comes with stake pocket hole covers that can be removed and installed when ever you like, and you can order the hole covers seperatley if you lose one.  Made of a flexible ABS plastic.  Mine were a little pricey, but that was before I found some of the online parts stores.  I've seen some people got them from around $120-$130.

I agree with you on the GM bedrail caps.  I had a set of Bushwacker caps that would not stay down.  After taping them about three times I trashed them and got GM caps.  They went on and stayed on.  Only difference is that I got the flexible caps that don't drape down over the sides-they just cover the tops.  They almost have the consistancy of rubber or vinyl rather than plastic.  Also nice-the tape was already on them and you peel off the backing, line up the stake holes and slap them on.

Got them at a Chevy dealership for $80 some dollars.

I believe I have the same set you are refering to. I have had no luck with GM giving me a part number for the stake pocket. Do you have any assistance.

Here's the GM caps. I bought the Bushwackers first, but didn't like the fit; the stake pocket holes were off on one side by about 1/2 an inch. Plus they were a very hard, brittle feeling plastic. They felt like it wouldn't take much of a hit to crack one. I don't know if that P/N for the caps is still the right number though. I don't have the P/N for the stake hole caps available now.

Here's the GM caps.

I like the look of that. I also have bed rails so I was concerned that they would bow in the middle when it got hot out... since the bedrails hold down each end. Any input there?

Mine have never bowed in the middle. They have been installed since 2000. They are held on by that 3M double sided tape. I don't remember exactly how many pieces on the tape were on each cap, but I'm thinking it was 2, maybe 3, strips that ran the length of the caps. Me and my (at the time) 7 year old son put them on in just a few minutes. They fit like a glove too.

Thanks Tom... I think I might just have to get a set.
