New Dog : Anna

A couple of weeks back, I adopted a dog from the local animal shelter. Yesterday was the first time I really tried to do anything more than just snapshots (most of those had been with my cellphone).

Here are a few from today...

"Hey, you bounced the flash wrong!"

Come play with me...

Sleepy time!

"Hey! What's my ball doing over there!?"

Thanks! With all of the dogs that end up in animal shelters, I couldn't see a reason to get one from anywhere else... If I had a big enough yard, I might've brought home 2 or 3, that first day!

Good looking dog! Is it a mix? In the first pic, it looks like it might be some type of boxer mix.

Yeah, she's some sort of mix.. We're not sure exactly what yet. Based on her howl, I'd say she has some hound in her. Some of the markings and her stance remind me a lot of a boxer. Since she was adopted from a shelter, there isn't any paperwork to know for sure what breeds make her up. I may get a DNA test done on her, at some point. But, I'm not real concerned about it.. "Some day, maybe..."
