What is the wheel offset for a 2010 GMC 1500 AWD Savana cargo van?

I have called several GM 800 numbers and the GM idiots have no clue and can't give me an answer. I want to know the offset so I can look for wheels.

GM idiots ,thx

Yeah they were total idiots. I called several different numbers for customer service and marketing and emailed several times and they couldn't figure out for the life of them how or from where they could find an answer.

No wonder this company is teetering on bankruptcy.

If you get the same width wheel it will sit in the same place as the original one, for the most part, if you get a wheel that's 1" wider it will stick out 0.5" further than the stock wheel. Offset varies by a few mm...there's 25mm to 1".

The stock wheels will have a positive offset...so as long as you stay with something positive you will be good.

Easiest way to find out....pull out your measuring tape and follow this website;

Thanks for the help.

I can't remove the wheel and measure because I am ordering a 2010 Savana and it has yet to arrive.

I was going to use this.>>>>> http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

It will tell me exactly the move out since I know the vehicle wheel size 17X7 and the wheel size of the new ones !7X8 and their offset 25. The only data I need is the wheel offset of the vehicle as you can see from the calculator.

They GMC have such ugly wheels for the Savana cargo van (gray painted) I want to replace them. And I want to figure out and find a wheel now so I can have it ready right away for the vehicle. If the oem tires are the crap General Ameritrac's I will probably replace tires and wheels on day one. GMC has a decent chrome wheel for the passenger van but for whatever crazy reason you can't get it for the cargo van? Go figure.

The reason I also need to know exactly how far out the wheel is going to move is because this vehicle will have a sliding cargo door. So if the wheel sticks out too far the door will hit it.

I know the wheel is a 17X7 and comes with 245/70/17's.

Most wheels that I am finding come 17X8. I want to stay as close to stock as possible for the reasons mentioned.

So I really need to know exactly what the offset is.

Then I can plug it right into an offset calculator and know exactly what is going on with wheels I am interested in.

It is getting set up for camping, I go hunting and fishing a lot in the boonies and want to upgrade the wheels for the simple fact that the OEM's are real ugly painted gray wheels. And I want All Terrain tires as I drive off road constantly.

I'm going to buy a pre fabricated carpeted wall liner and a bedrug for the floor and then build a bed frame/storage platform bed with a memory foam mattress.... and I am good to go.

I'd rather not be spending money on wheels. But as I said the wheels available with the Savana cargo are really ugly. If I could order a halfway decent GMC chrome wheel or polished aluminum I'd be all over that. I'd rather have a nice GMC wheel than spending $$$ on after market wheels. I just really really hate those gray painted things they offer.

As far as the tires. I have heard a lot of bad things about the OEM General Ameritrac's. I hate to have to replace tires but I drive in some very nasty conditions. Very deep snow. Lots of off road. This vehicle will be tested and pushed to its limits.

I will order this vehicle Beginning of January.

I will be doing a lot of bow hunting, duck hunting, flyfishing with it.

you have spare change for rims and tires ,for fishing ,have fun then ,catch a big one and post pics
