BTW what splash guards did you end up going with? And what and how did you fab up your reverse camera.

Weather tech splash guards. Very nice product, install is very easy and they are a perfect fit.

I had a local shop install and reverse camera, all LED lights with infered night vision, Its very clear.

Than i had the local stealership unlock it for me for FREEEEEE

Yes they did it for free bc i brought it to them twice and they couldnt figure it out, told me that it couldnt be done, So after arguing with these idiots i went home and printed out step by step instructions for the tech, brought them back showed the tech and manager, i think they felt soo stupid that they didnt charge me

thanks

Just for kicks, how much does a vinyl overlay of that size cost? I'm sick of the red on my Green GMC, too.

It cost me $50 at a place called fast signs. I took it in told them what I wanted and the guy came out with a sheet of vinyl and went to work. took him about 45 minutes to get it the way he wanted, so that it laid in right over the red perfectly. Very happy with the way it turned out. It has been on now for about a year without any issues. In fact my girlfriend had the bow tie on her red silverado done to match hers as well.

I guess I'm the only one who likes the contrast of the red logo on all that white. :idiot:

I'm with you... I like the red too. There are a lot of crazy people who don't for some reason, though.

At times I love the way the red looks against my black. but other times I want a little change and wouldn't mind having a black GMC. Will go with a black GMC eventually I think

No, you are not the only one.

My vote is for red! I did paint my bowtie, but that's different because it was gold. No one likes gold. :P Speaking of which, my paint is flaking off. Are there any special prepping tricks to consider before I repaint it?

+ another one for RED.

I honestly don't like all the white... Just too much of 1 color and no contrast..

I personally would love this for my emblem, but I dont think anyones cutting them for the GMT900 yet:

If sk1er18 hadn't posted that picture I would have never dreamed that this badge came out so easily. When I FIRST wanted to get rid of it, I assumed it was all part of the grill. I was worried about painting it in the grill, having to mask it off with that big cumbersome grill getting in the way...after seeing his photo above, I went out and just felt around until I found the tabs. It popped right out, I cleaned it up, put masking tape over the whole face, used a utility knife blade to trace the ridge where the red and chrome surround meet, scuffed it up with some sandpaper, cleaned it, primed, painted, cleared and less than 24 hours later it's done, and it was basically free. It isn't PERFECT but it's good enough for this truck. I'm letting it cure a bit longer indoors but I'll put it back in tomorrow and grab another shot of it back in the grill.
