Mileage update...

I filled up just now.

 

308 miles (after odo correction of 10% - 280 before)

 

29.5 gallons.

 

One tank was underfilled last fillup by about 1/8th tank, which is approximately 2 gallons

 

So aproximately 27.5 gallons for 308 miles.

 

11.2 mpg

 

This is before the vacuum canister replacement, however, I did advance the timing ahead some to compensate for it lack of functionality.  This is also with about 20 miles at abuot 75 mph (3500 rpms) and with about 65 miles pulling my friend's 84 Honda Prelude.

 

12 mpg next fillup is my tentative goal with conservative driving.  crosses my fingers

 

I'm going to recalibrate the idle mixture screws in a few minutes, hopefully I do it right.

 

I'll have another update next fillup.

 

As I said before, I'm going to get this thing running in tip-top shape if it kills me! (and it'll probably end up killing Jeff, too )

At least it's heading in the right direction, eh?  Usually mileage always seems to get worse with time...

Hopefully my recent distributor work (see other post) will help my Sub out some, it had slipped under 10 mpg recently.
