Replaced my rear leafs today

Recommended Posts

My original springs had a more acute arch to them and it looked like it was going to drop it about an inch, but I installed them anyway, because I figured it was better to have safety than looks.  It actually doesn't look that bad, it looks worse to me, because I was used to seeing it higher, BUT I would like to bring it back up an inch, so does anyone know where I could get just a couple of blocks for the rear?  I would just need to get some an inch taller to compensate for the drop in springs.

You might be able to find them at a junk yard as well.....  Even if you find a single 2" block you can probably take a cutting tool to it and carefully split it in half.

Better yet, they're rather inexpensive over at http://www.summitracing.com too.....

Good luck!

Yeah, but my problem is that I already have 4" blocks on the rear, I was wondering if someone makes 5" blocks.  If so, where could I get some?  Or maybe I could take them off and go to a machine shop a get them to weld a 1" block to the top?

Just looking for suggestions.  I think a 6" block would be too much.

I also thought about adding leafs from my old springs, but I don't want the truck to be stiff as 3/4 ton, because I don't haul anything and I think it's stiff enough now.
