Finally A Trip To The Beach

Wanted to get my little guy down to the beach before it was too late. It was his first time and he has a blast! He wasn't too fond of the drive down (2 hours) but no 15 m/o is... Bought a surf tag so I could just drive onto the beach with all of his toys/our stuff. Made it a hell of a lot easier. Our Hotel was only 1-2 blocks from the beach, but I wanted to drive on anyway. I later found my surf rod and tackle in the back so I was able to get some fishing in too. Just a Fri-Sun thing, but it was a good time. As soon as we got back, a buddy of mine called and asked me if I wanted to go fishing again, this time in the bay....I was tired, but couldn't say no. Here are some pics...

My g/f must have the others on her camera. Not sure why she used two cameras, but whatever. This last one of him was after the day at the beach. He took a 3 hour nap, he was exhausted.

Here are a few of the little fishing trip I went on when I got home from the beach. 12 miller lites, 6 yuenglings, 3 dozen blood worms, a boat, then pulling it out of the water at midnight with work the next day after a loooong weekend = MISTAKE. I am fuggin BEAT! We caught a bunch of Strippers, some Croakers, and Catfish. I also caught my buddy in the eye with a 3oz weight. Almost hooked him. Prob should of got stitches, but all he wanted was another beer.

Yeah, it was busy but good! Thanks Gramps! I hear Pismo is fun though. I wish we had something like that around here. I can just drive on the beach, can't go above 15mph and have to have a pole in the water, otherwise you are kicked out and fined. Also HAVE to have a shovel, tow strap, rope, and some other crap or you are fined again. They are pretty strict with it. They have Rangers on quads that come up and down the beaches checking for all of that stuff. Usually I go with a bunch of other cops so the Rangers tend not to mess with us. Last year we went at night, had a bonfire and some beers. The Rangers came up, recognized a few from the academy then told us to put the fire out, sober up, and go home. Thats the night I found out you can't do campfires either haha.

Looks like you had a good time. The beach is always a good time when the kids and the truck is involved...except for having to vaccum all the dang sand out when all is said and done.

Thanks man! Yeah it is always a good time. I can't wait until he's older to take him off-roading. The sand thing sucks. HE didn't get any sand in the truck, but his cousin did. Shes only 8, but thought it would be a good idea to get in my truck and sit in his baby seat. I laughed, but in my head I was thinking NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! OH well, wasn't going to stay clean forever.

Yeah, its actually a lot like OBX, just a lot closer to me! I am already planning another trip down at the end of the month. Have to get use out of these damn expensive beach tags.

Almost hooked him

haha I can laugh because a few yrs back my cousin casted out and hooked me in the ear then proceeded to yank on the line thinking he was stuck on the boat or something else. The worst part was the leech crawling in my ear

AHH! That would suck. Although, that is the exact reason that I stray away from fishing with my brother. He would hook everyone, including himself!
