I found the brake pedal in my GMC Sierra 6.2 model 2014 is hard at idle after 2 to 3 presses. I cancelled the original vacuum pump line and connected the brake booster to the intake manifold vacuum source. The old line was covered with air filter element to avoid dirts to enter the vacuum pump. Now the problem is completely resolved. Is there any other options? Anyone tried this idea and appreciate if can share his experience and feedback. Regards,

2016 Chevy Silverado- Was backing up down a steep driveway a couple days ago and without warning my brakes were stiff as a rock. it will make you pucker up when going onto a busy highway scary as hell. After further research it appears this has been an issue for sometime. Everyone that has had this problem needs to report this to the NHTSA (link below). In most cases ive seen including mine its been the Booster vacuum/Break Booster. All were while driving and could be potentially dangerous, ive always loved Chevy but they seem to have dropped the bomb on this one and need a recall asap IMO. $800 if your bumper to bumper is out! Even a class action lawsuit thats been filed against them. NHTSA | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
