  1. i just bought a 2001 chevy Silverado 2500hd with 20x10 rims but the tires on it rub i want to keep the rims on it but i don't want my tires rubbing what size tire should i get
  2. I was just curious as to whether people ran spacers after they did their lifts. I have read that you need a 1.5" spacer on the rear after adding a 4.5" lift to compensate for the front track width being wider.
  3. Hey y'all I have a 2004 Silverado 2500hd, finally got her lifted to the size I wanted. Current tire size is stock had 305s on 17s prior to the lift was thinking I could squeeze some 35s and a 17 wheel I don't mind the tires sticking out a bit but I also remember the 33s rubbed at first until I leveled it out.. any suggestions? Pics? Lmk what you think or experienced before making your decisions. Thank yallun advance!
  4. Was going to upgrade tires in my 2020 Sierra elevation. Have the stock black rims which I like so I’d like to keep em on. 2inch level kit in front. was hoping to do at 295/60 20 but looks like the new sierras are a tight fit. Anyone know which sizes fit/don’t fit before I order them? thanks
  5. I have a stock 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 slt preferred package. Time to get new tires and the Mickey Thompson Baja boss at’s look promising. Can anybody tell me if the 275/60 will fit without a level and and real world reviews on these tires (particularly road noise)? It shows that they measure at a 33.4 which is a little bigger than other 275/60s. Pics also appreciated
  6. Hi All, Hopefully I placed this in the correct sub-forum... I am due to replace my tires on my 2019 Sierra 1500 Denali with the stock 22" wheels. This means the tire size is 275/50/R22 which really limits tire availability. I have considered goin with a 285/45/R22 as that opens up more options. It is 2.1% shorter so hoping it's not going to be an issue with the speedo and mileage staying pretty close to accurate? Thoughts on that tire size? Thoughts? Concerns? How much is this really affecting my annual mileage if we say 10k miles per year? I suspect warranty company is fine with it as my mileage will add up a little faster... Any other tire sizes you guys recommend that open up options that wont require any recalibration to speedo? In any case, I live in MN and we have a lot of snowy road days and we ice fish, etc. Using the stock tires on the lake this year was.... well... not good. I got stuck. I would like something that will perform better on snow but also not be real noisy. I have a Denali truck with no real mods because I have finally reached an age where all I want to hear in my truck is my music and nothing else lol. So road noise is a huge factor. I had a Trail Boss as a loaner for the weekend and the aggressive tire profile on those were AWFUL. But the standard all-season tire on a truck that is the same for a car just isn't it. Is there a good all-terrain tire than is quite? Does that even exist? Looking for any input and experience any of you have on the matter. Also considering the Continental Terrain Contact A/T as well. Reviews seem to indicate they are very quiet on road as well. These are also a 285/45/R22 (smaller diamter/circumfrence). can changing from a 50 to a 45 series tire affect road noise and comfort a lot? I had 24s on an Escalade running 30 or 35 series tires and they didn't seem to sacrifice comfort, but its been a while.
  7. I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 with 2” leveling kit I currently have 265/65R18 tires. I want to go bigger but also keep stock wheels. I want a big size but something that won’t rub anywhere I’ve thought about a 275/70R18 but want some other peoples thoughts?
  8. I’m thinking of getting some new tires for my 2020 Sierra elevation crew cab. Can the 2020 Sierras fit 33x12.50s in the stock 20x9s with a 2” leveling kit without rubbing?
  9. Hey guys! New to the forum here. Previously had a Tacoma and switched to a 1500. Wanting to do a 5” lift on my 2020 LT and thinking about doing 33.5s on 12x10s. Does anyone have any pics here I could see that are similar? Looking at 275/60/r20s thanks all!
  10. Just brought home a 2020 LT with max tow, regular bed, some cabin mods. Can I put 17s with mud rubber on for the season and not incur tow/suspension/drivetrain problems? Newbie question, appreciate your input.
  11. I have a 2003 Tahoe LT that I'm gonna put a 2in leveling kit on. What would be the biggest tire/rim combo I could do with no rubbing/trimming required? Thanks!
  12. Hey all, I have a 2016 Silverado Midnight edition. The factory size of my tires are 265 65 R18. I recently put on 275 70 R18 and 2” rough country spacers. I’m getting a little rubbing on the insides of the wheel wells when I turn my wheel fully. The fronts barely clear. What’s the best way to fix? I could just avoid turning the wheel all the way but I don’t really want to go that route. Would a lift help? Or maybe cutting out some of the plastic? Or should I just deal with it until the tire wears down some because they are brand new?
  13. I understand there are lots of tire threads on here as I have been through most of them on this forum, I am simply looking for anybody who might be running 285/65/18 Cooper Discoverer XLT's on a non leveled completely stock 14-18 Silverado? The tire size is only slightly bigger than what would be on the 285/45/22 option Chevy offers in these years so I am just looking to see if there is anyone out there who can confirm this setup would work. https://tiresize.com/comparison/
  14. Planning on leveling my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 with the MotoFab front 3" and rear 2" leveling kit. Planning on fitting 33" inch tires on my truck after. Trying to decide if I want 18" wheel rims or 20" wheel rims.. so if you could post pics of your trucks that would be great. Thanks!
  15. Ok guys, this is my first GMC Sierra and its a 2020 1500 SLT 6.2l 4x4 crew cab. I want to get a little more height to go a little bigger on the tires. I have been researching and researching I think I will go coilovers when a good pair comes out, but everywhere I read, and I don't know if its just the generic answer they give, says with a 2"-3" level you can fit the "bigger sized" 33" tire. Well from what I can tell the 275/60/R20 that comes on my truck is a 33" tire. So where are they, or am I getting things all mixed up here. I would like to run the, 2"-3" level and put on the factory 20's a set of something like 285/60/R20 and that from what I can figure it about a 34" tire. Anyone have a leveling to 3" kit on there truck that they can give feedback as to what size tire you are running? Looking for your help as I am hoping to get this done relatively soon. Thanks in advance guys..Hope to get some good readings out of this.
  16. I know the 6112s are semi-new to the community. My question is what would be the lowest possible notch I can install these and still have enough clearance to fit 275X 65R 20 KO2s. I’d imagine the notch settings are similar to the 5100s accept there is 1 extra notch I believe. I have been searching online for the past week and cannot find anyone that confirms the lowest possible setting to fit these tires. I know I can install them at the highest setting and fit just fine, But I am trying to keep rake in the rear due to occasional towing and i do not want to add a leveling block to the rears. I was thinking the third notch (1.25” of lift) would work but I’m not sure if It will get rubbing. Does anyone have any idea on this? I currently have a 2.5 inch leveling spacer but do not want to install it when I switch to the Bilstein 6112s. Thanks!
