  1. I was just curious as to whether people ran spacers after they did their lifts. I have read that you need a 1.5" spacer on the rear after adding a 4.5" lift to compensate for the front track width being wider.
  2. Hi everyone, new to the forum here and haven't seem to be able to find an answer after searching. Purchased a 2020 1500 AT4 last summer(love the truck), and recently added the Firestone Ride-Rite kit to the rear(kit #2609). I also ordered the 2" spacer kit as recommended (kit #2366). I'm having a bit of a problem with the install and was wondering if anyone else has added rear air bags to their AT4, and did you end up using the spacer or were you fine without it? Problem is the air bags are slightly misaligned, and appear "under-inflated" with the spacer in there even when I have 10-20psi in them(there is about 500lbs in/on the box via a canopy and a Decked box system installed in the bed; I'd rather not have to try and remove these unless I absolutely need to, to diagnose the problem). I know in the instructions it says to have 5.5-6.5" of space between the upper and lower mounts. So my next plan is to jack up the back of the truck enough via the hitch receiver to recreate the correct factory fender gap front to back(should be roughly 1.5" from the factory with no load if I'm no mistaken?), and then measure the distance between the new mounts. Thoughts and/or someone who has added rear airbags to their AT4? I'd assume the Trail Boss would be very similar? Cheers
  3. If you put 3" in the front end (leveling/suspension) could you fit 285/70s on the stock z71 18" rims? I searched the forums and see lots of 285/65 (11.2" width) but when you get the 12.5 width people say rubbing is an issue so I figure the 285/70 give you an inch height but the same width as the 285/65. Or should you just go to 305/65? I've also read guys running 275/70 which is a half an inch shorter and thinner so I don't know if that means I'll be fine at 285/70r18 with a 3" lift to the front only or not. I want something that is going to fill the well but not rub, I just want more bang for my buck and if I am paying 700-1000 to swap the tires I want more than an inch. Anyone running 285/70 or 305/65 on stock z71 18s please feel free to post pictures, Thanks for the help!
  4. Sup Gentlemen, any of you bowtie guys come across bank 1- knock sensor code on your trucks yet? I installed AFE CAI today, and shortly after took it for a spin, I got a 18 4x4 4 door with 5.3. And it showed a code I believe it was p0235, when I floored it I did notice some noise coming from th engine bay sounded like some sort of short, ran a scan on it and bam it popped that one up. I cleared it but however when the check engine light came on I did notice a slight power loss. It's running fine now, truck has 15k miles on it. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this, I was like whoa knock sensors? Already brand new truck I got it with 0 miles....any info would be appreciated.
  5. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado LT RWD with a 5” Maxtrac spindle lift and a 2” strut spacer to equal 7” of lift. I want to replace the 2” strut spacer with a 3”. I want to know if anyone else has done it? Or if anyone has some advice.
  6. I am looking at the Readylift 66-3086 2.25" FRONT LEVELING KIT W/ CONTROL ARMS - GM 1500 TRUCK / SUV 6-LUG 2017-2018 https://www.readylift.com/2-25-front-leveling-kit-w-control-arms-gm-1500-truck-suv-6-lug-2017-2018.html For my 2017 Silverado 1500 LT with factory 17 inch aluminum wheels and 255/70R17 tires. After talking to the company, they said that I may need a 1/2 inch wheel spacer for the front so the control arms don't rub on the wheels. Is this true or is this something to try and get me to buy? The main reason I am looking at replacing the upper control arms is because I have an aftermarket heavy duty bumper with grill guard and it weighs around 200Lbs. That worries me with the factory STAMPED control arms it has now. If I need spacers, what spacer is best and cheap? Would I have to modify the studs? What else would I have to do so it doesn't rub? Thanks!
