After more than one year since the fund was started the total is not expected to rise much further. In 2014 General Motors recalled 26,766,833 vehicles. That was roughly four times more than Toyota and six times more than Ford. Given that huge number one would assume that the GM recall was the largest ever, but it was not. According to Car and Driver, the largest recall in history was 21 million vehicles made by Ford and its affiliates to affix a parking brake sticker.
