I have a 2003 Chevy 2500hd 6.6l diesel. All gears and shifting were working fine. Pulled out on highway today and had to get on it. When going through gears I heard it slip up and rev as if it slipped out of gear. I slowed down and got off road. It seemed to be stuck in 3rd gear. I tried putting it into reverse and it would not work. The shifter doesn’t even feel like it’s moving into gear when I move into reverse. When I move shifter to Drive, it sounds very rough and it starts off in 3rd gear. The truck will not shift out of this stuck gear, not even go into reverse. Had to put home slowly in that gear range. Need some help, What’s going on?

I've got a 2014 GMC Sierra L83 single cab... I recently decided its time I start getting some performance out of my truck. I installed: L86 Thottle body and intake manifold 1 7/8 header + full 3 inch exhaust (magnaflow muffler) Stage 2 GPI cam kit + DOD Delete Transmission Oil cooler I had the car dyno tuned and everything went perfect. We later had a few trial runs on the street and hit issues with sort of a misfire at specific rpms and gears... 2nd gear at 4,200ish rpm it would have a slight nudge and again at 5,200ish another drop and kick. It would happen almost all the time. We thought it would be the spark plug cables, went and got MSD plug cables added those, tried again, same thing! Spark plugs are new, fuel injectors are serviced with zero issues... the car ran perfectly before we did all of this... The tuner now tried raising the oil pressure in the transmission thinking its a gear slippage due to the oil pressure. Tried again, same thing!! We've ruled out alot of the problems, now theyre saying that its the disc thats slipping in the transmission which would make sense but I want to get ideas as I'm spending money trying to fix the issues that we're not a 100% sure about. Can you guys let me know if anyone went through anything remotely similar or if you have any views on the matter. Many thanks!!!!

Hey all. I’m moving to WI from FL, and am wondering what you all keep in your trucks every day. (Especially for winter). I am prepared for the major shift from FL, but I want to hear from you all that have been living it. Right now, I am planning on water, blanket, flashlight, sandbags, recovery gear (looking for recommendations), handgun, waterproof matches, flares, jumper cables, and I’m sure more that I’m just not listing. Thanks in advance- and feel free to tell me what your summer gear is too!

Looking to possible regear my 2017 GMC 1500 4x4 running 35" tires. Currently it has 3.42 gears getting between 14 and 17.5 mpg. If I read the charts correctly, I should be running 4.10 gears to get back close to OEM settings, since 3.90 is not available for 4x4. Anyone else running 4.10s on a lifted truck?

Page 171 of the 2019 Tahoe/Suburban Owner’s Manual shows Performance View. It states that the HUD will show speed, rpm, transmission positions and gear shift indicator. If appears to show the gear selected by the transmission while in D mode. Mine does not. Anyone else have this condition?
