Definitely stuck!! CODE 32 ob1 gm code the truck is idling really rough (sometimes sounds like it has bigger cams but it doesn’t), it stalls out with a quick snap open of acceleration, fuel mileage has down, loss power. I have a new 350 TBI CRATE engine coming I’m just trying to make sure I won’t have the code 32 issue with the new engine. had a code for an O2 sensor code so I replaced it and it hasn’t been an issue since ive replaced the EGR VALVE and the Solenoid, still was having the issue. So I replaced the MAP, TPS, and IAC valve, figured that would help. Still was having issues. I then replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter and ran a fuel injection service. That helped out a little bit but was still having the code 32 issue. I then replaced the coolant temp sensor on the intake manifold, Evap purge solenoid and vapor canister. That seemed to help out with my fuel economy. I’ve checked for any signs of a vacuum leak using carb cleaner to try and find the leak. I sprayed all the vacuum lines, intake manifold and throttle body and couldn’t find any source of leak. I’ve pushed on the diaphragm of the egr with the truck idling and it definitely changed idle states so I know the passages are clear. I checked the egr solenoid for correct power and measured 12v. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?

I have a 1995 GMC k1500 4x4 with the 5.7L TBI engine in it. I just bought the truck and as it is about 24 years old, it only needs to pass one more emisions test before It is grandfathered and therefore immune to e-checks (I live in northern Ohio) and also before I can get plates for it. The problem is, I've failed e check 3 times. A code 32 pops up every time I test it (on my own with a reader) and when I got the emissions test, high nox is the reason it fails. This would make sense, as code 32 is an egr error, and the egr being faulty would definitely trigger high nox, however: The egr valve has been replaced (yes, a negative one) The egr vacuum solenoid has been replaced Map sensor replaced Spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires. Replaced Even went as far as to replace the oxygen sensor. There doesn't seem to be any vacuum leaks and every test I've done on any part of the egr system points to it all running correctly. The kicker is: the truck runs great! No loss in power. Idles great. Super clean and well kept truck. Notes : it does have a Flowmaster super 10 dual exhaust on it, but it isn't a true dual as only one pipe comes from the catalytic into the exhaust, Then two come out. Also, high nox seems to be caused by high engine Temps, however, my engine temp on my dash shows that it never gets above about 165 or 170*. Idk if this is relevant but it seemed strange. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm really at a loss and I'm running out of time before I need to buy another temporary tag. Thanks again - Joe

Hello. I have a 1989 Suburban. 5.7 2WD. Automatic transmission with OD 784K miles. Started out with throwing an intermittent code 32: EGR MAP fault. Changed all the related accessories. (EGR valve and solenoid. Map sensor, Water temp sensor, throttle position sensor) This did not fix the problem. As time passed. Check engine light / Code 32 would intermittently show up after engine was fully warmed up. It will usually, but not always appears at idle and vanishes when RPM is increased. Recently. Check engine light would intermittently turn on when you activate the brake petal switch. Or, light would intermittently flash when you manually shifted from drive to OD and back. After troubleshooting with a IR camera, I discovered that the ECM-B fuse runs very hot while engine is running. Nothing else accessible appears to be unusually warm with the accessible areas of the wiring harnesses. Not sure what the ECM-B would have to do with it but......... Any good ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
