  1. Recently bought a '02 Sierra 1500hd and the seller wasnt sure on the lift size. My only experience is with spring type lifts in jeeps so I'm not sure how to tell the lift size on this truck. Ive attached pictures of what looks like a upper control arm drop bracket as well as the rear suspension. Also im suspecting it may have a body lift as well, the fenders sit 47 inches at the highest point, all around. Also on 35s
  2. Hello i just joined and i need help . I have a 2012 Silverado 1500 4x4 with a 3.5" level kit and im planning on doing a rc 3" body lift . With the body lift can i still use my spare tire ? And what will i loose? And if you guys have a similar setup with a 3" BL can you post some pictures! Thanks for the help!
  3. Hello everyone, Been doing Alot of reading and searching regarding lifting my 2017 Silverado Z71 crew cab. There's so much info out there it can be overwhelming. I have already decided to NOT go with a suspension lift due to cost and not wanting to change the factory ride. Considering I am wanting a visual lift for cosmetic reasons only, I see no reason as to spend the extra money when I am looking for no performance enhancement. I am however conflicted between going with a 2.5" front level and 1.5" body lift, or a front 2.5" front level AND rear level. I am wanting to stick with 18" wheels and try to get a 33-34" tire under the truck. While cost is a factor, I want to ensure the longevity of my truck and not cause TOO much wear and tear on the trucks components. So if one of the above options is "better" as far as less wear and tear on stock components than the other, that would be a factor as well. Any info is appreciated.
  4. Upgraded my 6" suspension lift with 35s to a 9" suspension lift on 37s. I was going to add a 3" body lift on top of the 6", but decided against it because I really wanted to add a grille guard to my truck, and that can't be done without custom brackets on a body lift. Plus the negatives of a body lift aren't appealing. Went with a McGaughys 9" suspension lift. Had a 5" drop on my 2007 Escalade from them, and was happy with the quality. Plus their kits are made in 'Murica, so that's a huge plus for me. Ordered from http://www.mcgaughys-suspension.com/ , great guys and treated me right. Shout out to Sean (I think that's the right name) who made it all happen. The truck: 2014 Silverado 1500 2WD 5.3L V8 9" McGaughys Suspension Lift 37x13.50x20 Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains 20" Raceline Wheels Vehicle rubs on the front lower splitter at certain angles; will be removed. My biggest concern is the rear tires are now wider than the rear wheel well opening. So now we I tow again and the truck squats as normal, it isn't going to work. Suggestions on how to prevent this issue? Thinking helper air bags. Suspension lift is solid, drives excellent. Tires are quiet for their size (I am a Nitto/Toyo tire man for life), with no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend the lift kit. Yes I know I am missing a center cap. EDIT: Some comparison photos added
  5. From the album: Stock pics.

1.25' RC Body lift with 2' Leveling kit. Back end still sit about .5' higher then the front.
