Ok, I want to come back to the GMC/Chevy family. For over 20 years, I owned a 98 GMC Suburban, putting over 230k miles on it myself and LOVED the truck. I too owned a 2003 Chevy 1500...put many miles on it too. I am looking at the GMC/Chevy 2500 series diesel trucks. I will stay within the 2016-2019 year range, with about $35k plus'ish budget. I might look at the 2021 trucks, only due to many deals/rebates etc. What suggestions or tips are out there for these trucks? What should I watch out for and/or look at getting? So, a few years ago, I bought a 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 EcoDiesel Lonestar -- well, I have been disappointed with Chrysler/Fiat (FCA). Short story, they lied about the ecodiesel, and after forced recall ECM update, they sucked all performance etc., from the truck. When I had my suburban, I never had so many recalls, been lied to, and never had poor performance. Thanks, for any suggestions that you will provide. Gary

Hi all, new to the forum, but have been reading random threads. I own a 2020 Trailboss, and my wife has a 2019 Suburban Premiere 6.2. I did some searching and couldn't really pinpoint any good discussions on this. I'm looking to add exhaust to the Suburban. I was hoping to accomplish 2 things: 1. Marginal increase in volume/sound, she wants people to know she's on the road 2. "Dual" exhaust, however I can't seem to find any good pictures or systems that exist out there. Honestly I don't even want/need the tips visible, it would be great to add a 2nd exit on the driver side, similar to what's currently on the passenger side. Anyone do/see anything like this or know of a system that exists? Thank you!

6” suspension lift 3” body lift

I’ve currently got a 4” Rough Country Suspension Lift on my 03 1500. I’m wantkng to take that off and put a 6” Rough Country Suspension Lift, and a 3” body lift. I’m just wondering if anyone has done this and what kind of problems I might run into. Thanks for the help! -
Thinking about doing an intake, exhaust, and tune to my new-to-me 2017 Sierra 1500 5.3L 8 speed. I miss the throttle response my 2013 6.2L had, it would lurch forward at the slightest tap of the gas. I also want to hear the engine, its so quiet! Cold air intakes seem to be disputed for having any performance gains, so are they really worth the $$$ in terms of better air flow? healthier engine? sound? any words of wisdom? Your $0.02 is always appreciated! I'm looking at the Magnaflow 15267 catback as it seems to sound pretty good for what I'm going for. I've read that there is a flap in the factory exhaust system that creates back pressure for AFM shift into V4 mode. I do like V4 mode and would not want to go away with it. How can a catback system integrate this feature? Also, what would be the rough performance improvements if any from a catback exhaust? Any other options that would sound similar and perform better/keep V4 mode for around the same price as Mgnaflow (~$800)? As for the tune, I know ZERO about tuning but do want to get rid of the rev limiter, speed limiter, get some performance gains without having to put midgrade or premium fuel in. How does the tuning process work? about how much do they cost? how can it be adjusted in the future? I assume anything like this would void some sort of warranty? Anyone do something similar and can attest to their experience with an intake, tune, exhaust?

Hey guys, I'm gonna install CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0 on my truck today. I've owned the truck for less than a month and can already see slight scratches so I want to hurry up and get it done. Do you know if i can apply on the chrome bumper and trim? Here is the process i plan on following: 1) Foam wash 2) Clay bar 3) Polish 4) Use an IPA (Carpro Eraser) 5) Apply Cquartz 6) finish with Carpro reload (silica sealant) I've looked up a few tutorials and tips but maybe i missed something. I'm in Texas and it's been pretty humid lately here in Houston. I'm concerned about the "flashing" times. Some say it takes 20 sec's, others say 5 mins... Can anyone elaborate? I'm using these products: Cquartz - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D4NXNTV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Microfimer towels- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0166U4PVC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Clay bar- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002U2V1Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Iron remover- https://www.amazon.com/CarPro-Remover-Liter-Sprayer-Cherry/dp/B004UMB7WY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1533828475&sr=8-1&keywords=carpro Eraser- https://www.amazon.com/CarPro-Eraser-Intense-Polish-Cleanser/dp/B00FY0XY1S/ref=pd_sim_263_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00FY0XY1S&pd_rd_r=cca84e2e-9be8-11e8-aae5-4d17ba778b12&pd_rd_w=6R1Ez&pd_rd_wg=1hLrQ&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=a180fdfb-b54e-4904-85ba-d852197d6c09&pf_rd_r=HBCCJ2E4W9BSW7MNNW4N&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=HBCCJ2E4W9BSW7MNNW4N&dpID=41o-QvdUg5L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail
