Was wondering if it was ok to put a strut spacer on top of a loaded strut. I have 2016 z71 and put a 2inch level load strut on truck. I am looking to maybe go a little higher. Would like to do 3 in front and 1 inch in back. Can I add a 1inch spacer to front? Also should I get an aftermarket control arm if am going to 3 inches?

Was talking to a customs shop in my area and asked what they'd recommend for a leveling kit (parts + installation) for my 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. They reached back out with a quote and said they would choose to install a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts in the front, and that it would gain about 1.85" in the front. They quoted me $569 for everything including alignment, does that seem reasonable? Has anybody on here gone that route with a comparable pickup? All I've seen are 2 or 2.5" leveling kits, would 1.85" be enough to eliminate the factory rake as well as be able to fit 33's one day? If anyone has and could share before and after pictures, that would be great. Thank you

Hey all! New to the forum, took my truck into the dealership today with AC issues (compressor replacement which luckily they will cover some of it ), 4 bad TPMS Sensors (2nd time replacing them) and some front strut issues. Luckily I have some help with the cost on the A/c from the dealership so it will run me back about $500 total with a 3 year warranty moving forward. My big question is what would you guys recommend replacing the OEM struts with? They quoted me $1900 for the front two to be replaced (lol) and I know that its a fairly easy job that I can do myself. Previously I had the dealership install a 2" level kit on the front which I plan to try and retain that height. Hoping I could get into something around 2-400 price range with improved performance. 80% of my driving is street with the other 20% being family camping trips. Thank you all in advance for your advice!

So, I had installed a 3.5 inch knuckle lift kit by Rough Country. I have had no problems at all with the kit. The trucks drives well and I clear 285 18 tires on -24 offset wheels. The thing is that I do take this truck on adventures on light trails and into the mountains for weekend activities. The performance is great buy I have a 2" nose dive due to a brush guard and winch weighing around 250ibs. This approximate 2 inch and a 1/4 really bothers me because I love the leveled stance. I have an offroad shop that will be installing lower strut spacers on my build. Has anyone had issues with this. My knuckle kit has nearly eliminated any stress on the ball joints, and the CV axle clears. I just have some concerns but really want the truck levelled.

I know the 6112s are semi-new to the community. My question is what would be the lowest possible notch I can install these and still have enough clearance to fit 275X 65R 20 KO2s. I’d imagine the notch settings are similar to the 5100s accept there is 1 extra notch I believe. I have been searching online for the past week and cannot find anyone that confirms the lowest possible setting to fit these tires. I know I can install them at the highest setting and fit just fine, But I am trying to keep rake in the rear due to occasional towing and i do not want to add a leveling block to the rears. I was thinking the third notch (1.25” of lift) would work but I’m not sure if It will get rubbing. Does anyone have any idea on this? I currently have a 2.5 inch leveling spacer but do not want to install it when I switch to the Bilstein 6112s. Thanks!
