Ok first I want to apologise if this thread has been done. I just started my account today. So I bought a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 4x4 with 37k miles a few days ago. It has a 5 or 6 in RC lift and 35x12.50r20 MasterCraft courser MXT tires on it. And the Hostile predator wheels. My question is, I don't know if the truck has been geared. Tuned. Or calibrated by the previous owner. The dealership doesn't know. The truck doesn't feel "sluggish" to me personally. I drive past the digital speed trap in my town and if I'm doing 30 on my guages the reader says 31-32... On the highway at 70mph my tach reads the notch under 2k.. so 1800?.. when cruising at 30-35 my tach reads around 1100-1200. I find I get in town with A LOT of stopping and going around 13mpg and that's driving very conscious. I notice it shifts around 2500 and then lower in the higher gears like 2000 then 1500.. but seems to chug along nicely around that 1200 mark. Also. My V4 mode has never turned on once. Not sure if that's due to the current cold northern Ohio climate right now. Or if the previous owner has a tune on it and disabled that feature. I just don't want to spend the money on a tune and calibration if I don't have to. When I floor it it gets up and goes fast imo. I don't floor it often at all. It doesn't pull or tow or haul much. I'm a maintenance engineer in a flat Ohio town of 50k ppl. So I don't think I'll regear because it won't be working too hard. If I could get some folks to shed some light on my curiosity I would greatly appreciate it. If all else fails. I'm buying a good tuner I guess... Thanks guys.

Anyone have experience fitting 22” wheels and tires on a stock canyon Denali? Not sure if I need to lift it at all first. Thanks

Hello everyone, I am brand new to this site and this is my first post. I was hoping to get some thoughts. So this last week a ordered a new set of wheels and tires for my 2016 silverado 1500. It has a 2" rough country leveling kit and that's all for suspension modification. I ordered 20x9 moto metal mo970 with toyo a/t II's 275/60/20. After a few days have passed I'm starting to feel like I should have gotten bigger tires. Does anyone by chance have pictures of their trucks with 275/60/20 wheels and tires? I really would like to see it, maybe its not too late to change my order. Thanks!

I have a 2014 Denali and I currently have the ride height adjustable bilsteins shocks and they don't lift the truck enough to actually level it and I am wanting something with better performance. I want a coilover that gives 2.5-3" of front lift and upper control arms. I am looking at the icon, King, fox and Baja kits but I want to run my stock 20" rims. Does anyone have any input on what kit they went with, how it rides and if it can run stock rims? Any input is greatly appreciated!!

Hey everyone! I have been browsing the forums for about 6 months now and finally pulled the trigger on a 2020 RST about 3 weeks ago. I am looking to get some black wheels with some all terrains before winter. I am leaning towards OEM black wheels of some type as I have had better luck with OEM wheels holding up to these Minnesota winters. Does anyone have these 18" OEM wheels (84641199)? I would love to see these on a vehicle! I was also thinking of finding a set of Trail Boss wheels but I don't care for the looks of those as much. Lastly I found a few of these sets on Ebay, they appear to be my current wheels but in Black. I can't seem to find anywhere saying that these came from the factory in Black, but I think they look great! Thanks everyone!!

Hi all, 1500 high country 20 inch chrome rims peeling around valve stem. 3 out of 4 are doing that. 20,000 kms on truck. GM said they would cover only 2 of them... Saw on forum that a guy w a GMC truck got all 4 replaced... Your thoughts?

I just bought a 2019 Silverado LTZ with the standard 18" wheels. My intent is to immediately change the wheels out with a 22" set from the 2018 Silverado. I can see that the bolt patterns are the same, but does anyone know if the center cap bore size is different? Any other reasons why the old wheels won't fit on the 2019?

Planning on leveling my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE with the 3” front 2” rear MOTOFAB leveling kit. Currently have stock wheels/tires on it which are 255/70R17. Thinking about jumping up to 18” wheels instead but wanted to know how much of a difference the 17” to 18” jump would make in appearance. I was able to find plenty of pictures with 18” wheels but are there any photos out there of leveled /lifted trucks with 17” rims?

I have a 2019 Silverado LT RWD. Put on a 2in rough country level kit with 295/60/20 Nitro Terra Grappler G2 on the stock rims. There is no rub at all! All clear pulling in and out of the driveway and at full lock! It was close at discount tire when they did the test fit but it worked. The only issue I have is after my alignment my steering wheel is a little off center to the right. Not bad but annoying on a brand new truck. They realigned it 4 times and came close but no luck getting it exactly centered. I gave up. The truck drives straight though.

Looking to get another wheel and tire set up. So I’m selling my 24in reps. They have about 12-13k miles on them. Been on the truck for a little over a year. Have plenty tread left. No curb damage, and wheels are properly maintained. Asking 1800.00 OBO. Included; TPM sensors, lug bolts and wheel locks, black center caps, and chrome center caps. Feel free to message me with any question. I’m in Destin, Fl. Will consider traveling within reason. Could possibly ship at buyers expense. Thanks

Just wondering if anyone knows what the largest tire is you could fit on an 18” rim on a 2019 Sierra with stock suspension? Currently it sits on the stock 265 65 r18’s. Wondering if 275 70 r18’s would fit perhaps?

As the title says, I need some advice from people who have lowered their trucks. It's a 2001 silverado 2wd stepside. I'm thinking of 20 or 22 inch rims but I dont want any rubbing. Max width would be great too cause I'm going to be twin-turboing it. Also this is my first truck so I don't want to be doing any fender tubbing or anything else permanent. Any help would be appreciated! Edit: I haven't lowered it yet. Kinda forgot to mention that ?

Thought I'd post a review of the newly installed suspension and wheel set up on my 2016 GMC Sierra Denali 1500. Previous set up was stock MagneRide suspension with ride height sensors and 22" stock wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler G2's size 285/45r22. I'm at 70k miles and the ride was steadily getting worse (too stiff), so I researched for a while and ended up installing the following: HaloLifts Boss Ultimate Kit (adjustable coilovers for 1" to 3" of lift in front, and 1" of lift in the rear) - http://www.halolifts.com/HaloLifts-Boss-Ultimate-Kit-fits-your-2007-UP-GM-SilveradoSierra-1500_p_220.html Stock GMC Sierra 18" rims (powder coated black) with Falken Wildpeak AT3W's size 275/70r18 Bypass sensor kit for all 4 MagneRide shock sensors and all 4 ride height sensors (I removed all ride height sensors that are mounted to the frame) - http://www.xineering.com/shocksims.html Up first, the HaloLifts Boss Ultimate Kit At $1299, this is a more expensive kit vs the Fox, Bilstein, or Rancho equivalant. What swayed me to this kit was that I was not looking for a crazy lift and I wanted something that was plug and play should I go a different route once these start to fail (like all shocks eventually do). Additionally, I found multiple reviews on this forum and other brand forums where people said they had installed Fox, Bilstein, and/or other brands and this was the best riding kit and worth the extra cash. You'll find a rep from the company, Alex, who's posted in this forum, as well as others, and he says call him with any questions. I did, and he answered every time and would not let me go until I had EVERY question answered. The customer service is outstanding with this place. I ended up going with the coilovers set at 1.5" of lift and I put .5" spacers beneath it to get 2" of total lift and the softest ride possible. Each kit is made custom to what you want, so that's how it arrived for me. You can have the coilovers set at 2" if you want, then add 1" of spacers underneath. Since I am only doing 2" of lift, I did not purchase new UCA's. Below are pics of me opening the packages. Again, thoroughly impressed with how sealed everything was with plenty of foam and cardboard to protect everything. Install was a breeze, thanks to instructions that were included and my convo with him over the phone. One last thing, the "do the rear shock boots go down or up?" debate has been settled. According to HaloLifts they go down :-) Next, the new wheel/tire set up I downsized from a 22" set up to an 18" set up so I could get more sidewall and a softer ride. While I like the look of a larger rim, it was so easy to get scratches on the 22" rims since they are so close to the ground and there's not enough sidewall on the tire to bulge out a little bit to help protect the rims. So, new set up gets me a softer ride and better rim protection. I went with a stock rim and had it powder coated black because I've had mixed experience with aftermarket rims (good and bad). As far as the tire choice, Falken Wildpeaks kept coming up as best all around value for it's performance. I've had KO2's in the past, as well as other AT tires but I wasn't blown away by their performance for how much you spend on them. Falken's were cheaper, but hold up well in rain, snow, and mud. Plus they have an aggressive look, that's a nice bonus. Below are pics of the truck with the new wheel and suspension set up. I'll follow that up with the obligatory, "pardon the dirty truck, haven't had time to wash it". Last, the MagneRide bypass kit This only applies to those who have the MagneRide suspension and ride height sensors (certain trims like Denali). If you do have it, you'll need to bypass the sensors or you'll forever be dismissing a message that says "service suspension system". If you can live with that, then ignore all of this. If it'll drive you nuts, you have 2 options - one cheap, but could lead to other issues and the other is not so cheap, but will not have issues. There are 8 sensors total, 4 shock sensors and 4 ride height sensors. The first option is to go cheap and buy 8 resistors (3 ohm, 25 watts). You then splice them in at every sensor. The risk here is corrosion, if you don't seal the splices properly this leads to the wire harnesses going bad and having to purchase all new harnesses and resistors to do all of the work again (and now you've spent more money on the harnesses). In all, this could run you about $50 for resistors, heat shrink, and a heat gun. The second option is to do what I did and buy the professional bypass kit from x-ineering. It's $425, but they'll give you a $75 discount if you post about your install on social media. I went this route because they clip in and seal the wiring, just like the stock sensors. No risk of corrosion and everything they make is backed by warranty. Overall, I'm super happy and love the ride. Only a couple hundred miles on it so far, I'll report back after all my Thanksgiving travel coming up (1500+ miles). Let me know if there are any questions!

I’m looking into upgrading my wheels. I have 22 x 9 Chrome currently on my 2018 Sierra 1500 Denali trim. I’m interested in the Dub Push S109’s and am wondering if other owners might have purchased these before and what their experience has been thus far with them?

Hi all, I just bought a new truck but the tires were shot. I looked at the tires and they are 35x12.5x18 with the stock GM rims. I called Discount Tire and they said they won't put these tires on these rims... What gives? Did the previous owner put the wrong tires on these rims? Is it unsafe? Thank you, Scott

Just wanted to share my experience with Anthem Off Road wheels from them messing up my order to the wheel finish coming off not even 2 years later. They market themselves as a rugged America offroad company that stands by their product. Which sold me. Plus I didn’t want to have the same wheels as everyone else. I purchased a set of wheels from them and went ahead and bought tires and TPSM to go with them. The tires I could of got cheaper locally, but then I would have to go to the shop and have them put on. So I opted to pay their higher price for tires so I could get the wheels with tires mounted and balanced, TPMS already installed. All I had to do was bolt them on my truck. Received the wheels. Bolted them on just to find that they didn’t install the TPSM. Had to wait a week for them to ship them to me. Then had to go to a tire shop to have them installed. The shop ended up scratching 3 of my brand new rims. I called and complained about the whole situation and they basically said “well we didn’t recommended that tire shop to you”. I guess they couldn’t realize none of this would of happened if they did their job in the first place and installed the TPSM in the first place. Fast forward 1.5 years and I started noticing the clearcoat coming off one of the wheels. After a month or so all 4 wheels had the clear coat peeling off. I posted a question about the finish coming off on their Facebook page. Another costumer chimed in and said their clear was peeling off also. Then our comments were deleted. I commented again. Again, my comment was deleted. I looked at at their website for the first time since I purchased wheels for them. I noticed they now offer a wheel protection kit that contains cleaners and ceramic coating. This wasn’t offered back when I bought my wheels. Which leads me to believe they have had more than just me complaining about their clear peeling off. Has as anyone else had experience with anthem off road? Regular real customers. Not their “brand ambassadors” which is a new marketing scheme they started where they create a whole group of Social media sales people by offering them their rims for a discounted price. In return those people promote the wheels online and try to push people to buy their sub par wheels. I’m talking real customers using their rims in real life, everyday applications. Thanks

Hit curb, tore chrome overlay. Can this be repaired? I didn't really want these on my 6.2 SLT Premium Package, and wanted the rims that came w/ the 5.3, but dealer wanted too much to swap. I don't like a 2-part overlay.

I have a set of 2019 Chevy Colorado rims that are 18x8.5 and 6x120 and they come with tpms already installed. These will fit any 15-19 Colorado and the tpms just need to be programmed to the vehicle. MSRP on these rims and sensors are $2310.08 before tax and core charge (which is $50 per rim). I'm looking for $1600 obo they do not come with tires or center caps. Message me if you have any questions. I have more pictures of the back of the rims showing they are genuine GM rims but they are to large of a file to upload.

I have a stock 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 base crew cab. Currently running 18", would like to upgrade to 20s. I'm looking at 20x9s, do I need an offset? What size AT tires can I run on these that will not rub? Note: I'm hauling a trailer at least a few times a month, so I'm not looking for a lift or a level.

Why do GM aluminum alloy rims all eventually go to s***? 2015 Sierra, rims saw two winters before I bought snows on steel wheels... I mean, I'm guessing it's from salt getting under the clear coat, but why? Been an issue forever, Dad's 04 Silvy did the same and now the whole rim looks like hell.
