I’m planning on a 2” levelling kit on my 2016 CCRB 5.3 z71. Originally was planning on 20x9 +1 and 275/65r20 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs. Was able to find a great deal locally on the exact fuel rebel wheels I wanted but when I got there turned out they were 20x10-18. Still were a great deal(inventory clearance from a tire shop) brand new never installed and were $1000 less than regular price so I took the risk. Wanna see if anybody’s running a levelling kit on these trucks with a 20x10 and 275/65r20. Not worried about plastic trimming and I imagine I’ll have to do some metal trimming but I’d like an idea of how much and pictures of peoples setups would be appreciated thanks.

So I installed a kryptonite stage 3 leveling kit on my sierra HD. Cranked up the keys so it’s just about level, it had quite a bit of rake to it before. Came out to a total of ~3.5 inches lift in the front and 1 inch in the back from the new bilstein shocks included. It looks amazing but my issue is it rides rough. I don’t want to lower the front and lose that nice stance it has. Can I install the kryptonite shock extenders as well with this kit to get my ride quality back? Or any other suggestions?

I know there have been a few posts about this, but has anyone successfully added a 1” or 1.5” leveling kit to a Trail Boss? I read that some people have, but have not heard any updates or results. I ordered a 1” & 1.5” MotoFab off eBay, but wanted to check around before attempting to install. 4 Wheel Parts here in Orlando says it will put the CV joints at too much of an angle than they already are. -
I just bought a 2021 GMC 1500 AT4. LOVE how it rides, as is. I just want it leveled. no new tires or wheels necessary. Went to 4wheel parts looking for a LEVELING KIT. All they could suggest was the 2” readylift spacer with UCA ($1450 installed), or the Icon 3 1/2 suspension lift…coilovers, UCA’s, and rear shocks ($3,600 installed), which would technically only give me 1 1/2” over OEM for the AT4 (Apparently 2” is what I need to be level) Not sure the Icon setup will get me level, but I know it will be a much better ride. I’m conflicted. Will I notice the 1/2” rake the ICON setup will leave me with? Or does the ride quality of the ICON offset the lack of ride quality of the Readylift, the cost being it won’t be “level”. Btw…I think the ride quality, as it is stock, is ABSOLUTELY perfect. Thoughts? Thank you!! -
I installed the 2in Rough Country leveling kit on my 2021 1500 Silverado Custom model and I am getting a clicking noise when I accelerate and decelerate from my passenger side. There is also a louder metallic click when I turn into a driveway and when my front right passenger strut is compressed. This began a couple thousand miles after my kit was put on. It is driving me insane and I can’t seem to figure out what is causing this noise, has anyone had this issue with their newer Silverado’s? Hey Guys, New to the forum, and glad to be finally back into a truck after a few years. So I just recently purchased a used 2015 denali 6.2 with 55k miles, and the previous owner installed a leveling kit. Now the problem is that they did not install a relocation bracket for the magneride sensor. I noticed that it seemed to ride rougher than my dads non denali and so I started doing more research on here and other places. I had heard that if you didn't want to go the bracket route, you could have the dealer reset the shocks to zero in the computer so the truck knows its level. Since I had just bought it a little over two weeks ago, I figured I would just take it back to the dealer and make them do it. When I got there and meet with the suspension guy, he said hes done over 100 leveling kits, and hes's never had to put a bracket in there. So he said he wanted to check the shocks to see if they were ok, and once he got it up on the lift, he then noticed that they were leaking and would need to be replaced. He drove it and agreed that the ride was really stiff and said with the new shocks the ride should be 20x's better than before. Since I didnt have to pay for anything I said absolutely, go ahead and replace the front struts. Long story short, got the truck back, and yes the ride is definitely better, but it still feels fairly stiff. So I was hoping that if someone on here had the brackets on their's they could hook me up with some dimensions and I could just make some of my own. I called suspension maxx, but they told me they could only sell me the brackets if I had some sort of proof of purchase, but of course I don't because the previous owner is the one who purchased it. Hope this may help someone - 2021 GMC 1500 AT4 Carbon Pro 4Play Wheels ReadyLift 1.75" Leveling Kit I just purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. These are the parts I installed: 4Play Wheels - Model 4P08 - 22x10 -18 Offset Purchase 4 Hub-Centric Rings! Nitto Terra Grappler Tires - 305/45/r22 ReadyLift Leveling Kit 4Play Wheels - The -18 Offset is so incredibly close to the caliper hump but they clear. No spacers required. They look pretty good. They don't stick out excessively which my personal preference is slightly outside the fender but no where near the -44 Offset look. I personally do not care for solid black wheels on black trucks because you loose the wheel pattern. I live in Texas so 90% of every vehicle is a truck so you see plenty of them. These have Gunmetal Gray powder coat on the top of the spokes so there is some color offset but they mostly look like solid black wheels from a distance. I debated whether to get the all Gunmetal Gray for a major change to the look but I went conservative with black and Gunmetal spokes. You must purchase 4 Hub-Centric Rings. I got everything from Nick at BBWheels and they were awesome and very good pricing. ReadyLift: Part # - 66-3921 - 2019-2021 AT4 1.75" Leveling Kit: I think instructions say like 3 hours. Ya No, at least not in my driveway with basic hand tools and floor jack and no experience. I also had no experience with CV joints so I made sure to run a strap around spindle so it did not fall back and bind or pull the CV joint out of the transfer case and take care of the angle and how much the CV joint was moving in and out, binding and making sure the strut bolt and strut bolt factory press on nut did not tear boot. This was not easy. Drivers side with setup took about 5 hours. Passenger side once I knew what I was doing took less than hour. Also did not have the large like 37mm socket for the spindle nut so I had to go to Northern Tool to purchase one. All they had was a 38mm and it worked. So I really do not know the correct size of the spindle nut but I got the job done and torqued. In the end for me the job probably rated a 7 out of 10 on difficulty scale simply because of taking care of the CV joints and getting the struts in and out without tearing the CV boots or pulling it out of the transfer case. One other note. I did not like the factory pressed on bottom strut nut. It is too tall and pointy and comes to close to the CV boot when working on the install and after. I removed this nut with a screw driver and mounted the strut bolt top down with a lock nut on the bottom on the side closest to the CV boot. Also got the ReadyLift from Nick at BBWheels. Nitto Terra Grappler Tires: To begin I made Discount Tire price match an Amazon price for 33x12.5 Terra Grappler's. Saved like $120 so do it. Next Discount said Corporate would not allow the sale of 33/12.5's because of the AT4's load rating. They said 305/45/r22's had the correct larger load rating so no big deal. They still sold them for the matched Amazon price. Tires ride great no noise look really good. My AT4 has the trailer option so I had 4 tire pressure sensors in glove box. I gave to Discount so they did not have to break down my stock wheels and remove sensors. CV Angle: The only concern I have simply because this was my first 4 Wheel Drive lift kit I ever installed is CV angles? I Googled 2019/2020 GMC Sierra AT4 CV joint angles after lift and mine looks like everyone else's so? I put an angle finder on the top side of CV shaft before and after. Before on Drivers Side it was +4 after lift +12. Bottomside of Drivers Lower Control Arm +9 after lift +15 degrees. Passenger Side it was -10 after lift -19. Bottoms side of Passenger Lower Control Arm -10 after lift -18 degrees. Does anyone have any expertise on this? Does this seem acceptable? Not sure how or if these angles will change after alignment?

I have a 2018 GMC 1500 4x4 45,000 miles, and my brother in law got me a dynofit 3 inch front leveling for Christmas. I've heard bad things about 3 inch kit such as the ball joints popping out and the angle it puts everything, etc. Just seeing if anyone has thoughts about it or suggestions. I have a 2014 silverado 1500 with a 3in level on it. I'm thinking about some new wheels, I was looking at stock 22x9 with +24 offset wrapped with 285/55r22 nitto trail graps. The specs on the tires are 34.5x12. I see a lot of people clearing 35s under a level, do you guys think this setup I am looking at is possible?

Hello everyone, I am brand new to this site and this is my first post. I was hoping to get some thoughts. So this last week a ordered a new set of wheels and tires for my 2016 silverado 1500. It has a 2" rough country leveling kit and that's all for suspension modification. I ordered 20x9 moto metal mo970 with toyo a/t II's 275/60/20. After a few days have passed I'm starting to feel like I should have gotten bigger tires. Does anyone by chance have pictures of their trucks with 275/60/20 wheels and tires? I really would like to see it, maybe its not too late to change my order. Thanks!

Hello all, Recently I purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. I’ve been debating on putting a lift or leveling kit on it since I bought it. I’m looking for bulkier but also clean look. Nothing crazy. Just beefy and aggressive. I don’t plan on doing much off reading. Any advice on which kit I should buy? What brand? I also am hoping to keep my wheels as they are super sick, but would like some beefier tires any advice on those as well? Thank you! -
07/12/2020 Hey everyone, I'm new to the game. I understand tire sizing but not fitment regarding clearances with aftermarket wheels. Looking for some advice. I know that I would like an aggressive MT in 33's. I'd like to get new wheels because I absolutely hate the stock polished aluminum 18's I have right now. I'd like to get 289-295/70/18's but I'm not sure if that would fit with wheels with a -24mm offset and still have enough clearance in the wheel wells to turn completely without rubbing. My plan is to get the MotoFab 3 inch front leveling kit (strut spacer) before I go and by wheels and tires. If you've done something similar, I'd love to hear form you. If you know of a good way that I could figure this out without buying everything first to test it, that would be great too. Thanks in advance! 07/13/2020 Quick update: I've spoken with a friend of a friend who knows WAY more than myself about lifting trucks and the fitment of aftermarket wheels and tires. First off, he suggested that I don't put in a 3 inch strut spacer kit. His reasoning was that I'd be replacing ball joints, CV shafts, wheel bearings, ect. His rational was that the spacer would through the angles off too much and put excessive wear on many parts. He also said I could go through and change out the upper control arms to attempt to correct the angles a bit (at that point, I'm thinking, well if I'm going to go that far I might as well just wait and buy the real lift kit that I want). Another point he brought up is that if I were to put the 3 inch spacers in, it may through the alignment off so much that there wouldn't be enough adjustment in the stock tie rods to make the proper adjustments needed to complete the alignment. So now I'm just in the process of re-evaluating what I want to do. Stand by for another update soon to come.

So I would like some advice. I want to level my 2015 Silverado 1500 4x4 crew cab. I am just out of the factory warranty with 38K miles. I was looking at installing a RC 3/2 leveling kit and have been reading many forums talking about how bad these leveling kits are to the suspension. Not just the RC, but any leveling kit. The kit is the 3" spacer between strut and tower with 2" block on rear. Many of the forums are saying the front suspension will wear out within 10K miles of installing. So I wanted to start a thread and get some opinions on some experiences with these kits. Has anyone had issues with these type of kits? What am I to expect in 10K, 15K, 20K miles to change out due to excessive wear from these kits? I know I will need to do an alignment right after install, but how will the truck ride and wear on the tires with these kits? Are they as bad as I have been reading? I read one thread where someone had to spend $6K to completely replace their IFS suspension from this kit. Was this a one off situation or a very good possibility? I want to get ride of that nose down look and give the truck a much better looking stance for a 4x4 truck. So what other options are there to level or give a slight lift to my truck that will cause as little damage down the road as possible to the suspension? I understand there is always risk when altering a suspension, but there must be some other options that do little damage and still allow a lift or level of the truck. Someone mentioned a body lift, but that still leaves the nose down look of the body. Thoughts?

Hey Everyone, I’ve been looking at this forum for a long time but I’m a new member. I have a 2015 GMC All-Terrain that I’m wanting to level. I’ve been trying to decide between the ready lift 2.25” with the 2” rear block or Rough Country 2.5” with the 2” rear block. I want to run 275/65r20 tires on the stock wheels. I was also considering buying a set of Hellwig helper springs, I pull a trailer a few times a month and don’t want much to any squat. So I guess my questions are: 1. Has anyone done either of those kits with that size of tire? (Please share a picture) 2. Would it be better to do an Add-A-Leaf in place of the 2” block and Hellwigs? I have looked through all the leveling kit post and haven’t really found what I was looking for yet. Thanks

Just bought a 2014 sierra 4x4 and ordered the 2" kit to level it out. On rough country's website they say that this kit only allows for up to a 32" tire, and I am looking to put 33s. I am new to GM, what's the biggest tires that I can fit?

Hey, I'm new to this site. Just put a 2.5inch RC leveling kit in my 2014 silverado 4x4. I really want to get 305/55r20 Nitro trail grapplers on some 20x9 rims +18 offset. I'm wondering if anyone has this setup and what kind of rubbing issues you have if any. I'd love to see some pics or even suggestions on the next tire size down that would fit if the 305s don't. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks guys

Hey everyone, I have been reading through the forum and was going to post this in the “leveling kit” thread but like a lot of questions that have been asked I didn’t want it to get lost in the 475+ pages. I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 4x4 LT. I have been putting off installing a leveling kit till I needed tires and the time has come. I’m looking at the Eibach Pro Truck Kit with Rough Country 2” rear blocks. After reading the leveling kit kit tread I’m a little confused. I have the stock 20” High Country wheels on my truck and really like them. Can I go to a 275/60/20 or larger tire? I don’t want to do a leveling kit if I can’t get a larger tire ti fit and the rim rubs the upper control arm. Thanks for for all your help in advance.

I had a torsion key leveling kit put on my truck, raised the front about two inches. Gave me a little more clearance for the front air dam and overall gave me the look I wanted. No other mods at this point besides the keys. Factory shocks, wheels and tires. I've noticed going over speed bumps, or any decent bumps for that matter, the ride on the front end sucks. I've attached a few pics. My guess is it's an upper control arm issue, but I'd like those with more knowledge to chime in and tell me where I went wrong here. I'm a novice with this stuff. What I do know is the look is great, but that's about it, the ride has suffered significantly. What do I need to do (besides going back to stock keys)? The truck is a 2019 GMC 2500 CC, short bed. Not sure how much that really matters.

I just purchased and installed a 3.5" rough country suspension lift with new UCA's and upper and lower ball joints. All is well. Alignment is perfect, doesn't shake. I'm happy with it. However, the front still sits about an inch lower than the back. Question for you guys is how, if at all possible, can I level it out? Thanks!

I was debating over the rough country 2" kit or the readylift 2.25" leveling kits. I ended up choosing the readylift just for the fact that it is aircraft aluminum and not polyurethane type stuff like the RC is. The install was fairly easy and the truck looks awesome. Ride is the exact same as factory. The truck sits almost perfectly level, with only .25" of rake. Pics below are before and after. I also took off the factory running boards and the front vailance. I was just curious if anyone had any recommendations or outlooks on leveling and bigger tires. I saw someone running a 2.5” level with 305/55/20 BF Goodrich KO2’s. Was thinking about heading down the same path. Hoping I can get a level with some 33’s with no trimming. Has anyone else done this setup or have any recommendations or pictures? Also how are the rides with a level? I have heard they get stiffer once leveled.
