Looking to Convert a Non-Flex fuel 5.3 Vortec to Flex Fuel. Just wondering what was needed to do the conversion. Is it worth it? Do I need a bigger pump? I have a set of 42lb flex fuel injectors for the truck. Do I need to change fuel lines, mess with the harness at all, Change the OS on my pcm, etc. All help is appreciated. I know there is a bunch of write ups about this topic but every one says something different.

Hello all, ive recently bought a new to me single owner 2014 gmc sierra 4.3 4x4 double cab with 43,000 miles on it. It has flex fuel standard and was wondering wether or not i should run e85. It is available local and pretty cheap, but ive heard that if the truck has ran gas most of its life the e85 would cleanse the deposits and possibly clog the fuel lines or fuel pump. Should it be safe to switch over to e85 ? Or could i just start running 89 since ive also read that its more beneficial running 89 or 93 over 87 due to detonation

Installing DSX TUNING Flex Fuel Kit
Erny415 posted a topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
Hey guys, so I bought the dsx flex fuel kit so I can run E, but I CAN NOT find a single thread or video on how to install it, I usually don't do major work on my vehicles so maybe this will be too much for me and I can take it to a shop. But can someone who has done it try to explain? Pics as well please. I' m sure i'm not the only one who is having a hard time finding instructions on this. TIA!!!! -
i see e85 mentioned in a ton of these forums, is there a advantage to you guys running e85? I live in a VERY rural area in pennsylvania and just a very select few gas stations carry it , so my one question is why run it and in my case second if i decide to try it with e85 pumps being scarce around here it means id be frequently going back and forth from 87 to e85, plus ive heard yes e85 is cheaper but you dont get the fuel mileage out of it
