  1. Anyone having issues with the traction control cutting on and applying brakes? Truck is activating brakes & traction control system when turning left. Also, sporadically applying brakes and displays “hill start active” when not on hills. Dealer is waiting on GMs direction- speed sensors, wheel hubs, etc
  2. I recently bought a (Gen 3) LQ4. I'm trying to swap this into an (Gen 4) 07' Silverado which uses 58x Reluctor, 4x Cam Gear, Front Timing Cover/Crank Sensor, and 2 Knock Sensors located in the sides of the block. I have a (Gen 4) Truck, So the timing cover/ crank sensor/ knock sensors can be used. I also have a (Gen 4) ECM/Harness. I know I need to get 58x Reluctor Gear put on & get a 4x cam gear already My questions are as follows: 1. Can I put a 4x Cam Gear on a (Gen 3 Cam) ? or do I need to get a (Gen 4 Cam) for the (Gen 4 Cam Gear) to work ? 2. Can I use the (Gen 4 Knock sensors) on the side of the (Gen 3 LQ4) ? Just drill/tap & mount them ? 3. If I keep the (Gen 4 Fuel Setup) could I just install that on the (Gen 3 LQ4) ? Any help or advice will be appreciated. I'll be documenting everything so others will have better knowledge when putting a Gen 3 Block into a Gen 4 Vehicle. Thanks guys !
  3. Thanks for the add. Greetings All!! Going to start my membership, by asking what I hope is an easy question. On an online site, they have a deal on a power retractable tonneau cover that I really like, (like same price as non-powered), but I also just installed a Weather Guard tool box. My hope/want is that I can put the retractable canister in back of the toolbox, (tailgate side) and then mount my onboard air tank under it, with the compressor in the toolbox. Finally my question is; will the electric cover stop at my tailgate automatically? I understand I have to cut the rails to accept the canister in the different location, but the cover stopping in the correct stop has me guessing what other mods I’ll have to do. please help ASAP, as I do not know how long this deals gonna last. Thank you! Collin 2018 GMC Sierra Denali 3500hd
  4. Hey guys, Cold weather has made me take out my winter front for my grille for the first time. It has a convenient hole for the camera but looks awful as 4 inches of the grill on either side are still showing. Is everyone else’s like this or did the dealership give me the wrong one?
  5. Anyone having issues with their steering column? Posting a video, I’ve gotten the service steering column lock a couple of times and the dealer says it’s only a stored code for “loss of communication” so they don’t really know how to diagnose. The steering lock or gear shift column lock is randomly engaging- doesn’t do it all the time unable to upload vid for some reason
  6. Hello Everyone, I have been looking at adding a couple of cameras to my 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. These trucks can be difficult to pull into parking spaces and lots, especially if they are smaller. I just recently raised the front end about 2-3 inches, this has made parking a even bigger challenge. Yes, when parking I try to back into most of the parking spaces, but sometimes that option isn't available. The system I have been looking at is from Echomaster, this system is listed under GM accessories and is labeled Intellihaul. The multi-camera system comes complete with a interface module, wiring, two (2) cameras that are mounted within a black mirror trim piece that attaches to the bottom of the mirror. The trim level on my Denali comes with trailer towing mirrors that are all chrome, and I really didn't want to substitute the lower black trim pieces in place of the chrome. I have seen one and it didn't look that good, on the all black mirrors they look OK (Just my preference). Echomaster has just recently released a new 3rd brake lamp camera that has three (3) different viewing angles within a single camera, a right 95 degree, a left 95 degree and a rear 90 degree. Then all I would have to do is add the front facing camera. In this arrangment, I would have to utilize a multi-camera module, this module is complete with wiring harness, bracket and OEM interface jumper cable. However, the new released 3rd brake lamp camera only has one (1) video output. I would have to hard wire 3 more input triggers to make this function correctly, the left and right turn signals and reverse triggers. To operate on the OEM radio screen, I would have to depress the "back" button for three (3) seconds until the camera icons appeared on the screen. This would give me the rear cargo area. To view both the blind spot camera views, I would have to cycle the left or right turn signal depending on which camera I want to view. I would also have a front facing camera installed in the grill area, which would assist in parking manuevers. In this setup, I still would have full operation of the OEM backup camera when in reverse. I think this would be a good option and give me what I was looking for. When I talked to the tech assistance at GM this afternoon, he said that the system would be awkward to operate. I would like something that is plug-n-play, a system that I didn't have to rely on to take to dealer to program the radio, BCM or any other related modules. What is everyone doing about adding cameras to your truck, what sytem and options have you looked at and/or are utilizing? Do you like your truck with the camera addition? What are your thoughts? Thanks,
