2009 Silverado crew cab Z71 4x4 5.3L. Apparently some scum sucking lowlife has punctured the fuel tank at the bottom to steal a gallon or two of gas in the parking lot. The other 12 gallons or so left a big wet spot on the asphalt. I haven't crawled under it yet, waiting for daylight and the pavement to dry up. How to fix this? Youtube videos say JB Weld, but then there are comments saying that won't work. 2 local big chain parts stores said replacement tanks are not available? Can't afford a dealer tow and $1000+ bill now (just had to pay the dealer $600 a month ago), and no way to drop tank in apt lot--no shelter and too cold. Thanks for any ideas!

I have a 09 silverado 1500 WT It has heated rear window but no heated mirrors. And I can't see a wire for heated mirrors in the door compartment (although I haven't opened the door panels in a few months) I do seem to have 2 wires (it feels like 2) going through the door boot (I haven't opened the boot to see the colors but I assume it is for the door open sensor, but I could be wrong) I am wanting to add tow mirrors to the truck and especially heated mirrors ( I plow with the truck and really would love the heated mirrors) I was wondering how I would go about adding heated mirrors ( like I said I have the heated back glass so shouldn't the wiring for heated mirrors already be in the truck as I think they run off the same switch and I'm gonna assume the same harness ( I could be completely wrong and they could be different harnesses) Looking for help as I am wanting to do this conversion if possible

My 09 silverado 5.3 4x4 has shifted hard into 2nd and some into 3rd for several years now. A few months ago I decided to fix it. Codes were for transmission control solenoids, module, oil pressure sensor, misfires...etc. codes like P0700 P0717 P0521 P0523. I replaced all 3 shift solenoids, oil pressure sensor, and immediately the truck shifted like new again and it lasted for a few days or a week. And it started shifting hard again. Really hard. It's so frustrating. And it's throwing all the same codes again. Recently, my truck started misfiring so badly the entire truck was shaking. It was running on two cylinders. All of the ignition colis were failing all at once and the truck was not drivable. Btw, I just changed out those ignition coils, plugs and wires just two years ago, all Ac Delco plugs/wires and duralast ignition coils. So anyways, I replaced all of the coils plugs and wires again this week and the engine no longer misfires, running on all cylinders again. And for a few hours after, there was zero hard shifting now. It was running great, like new again. Shifting smooth as could be. But after making it into the city and hitting traffic lights and stop signs, it didn't take long for the very hard shifts to come back. I've read on this and have been dealing with this in time and parts for so long now. I've read about ground wires could be the cause of all of this. I have replaced everything the computer has suggested, and for a short time after the repairs, the truck would run like new. But the hard shift always comes back. I know there's people out there that have had this same problem. I've read a lot about it but without actually finding the grounds for these specific sensors, I've hit a dead end. The issue just keeps coming back as it's obvious there is a root cause I am not getting to. Please share any knowledge or experiences on this topic. And any knowledge of the location of these grounds may be at. Thank you!

My 09 Silverado transmission is not shifting like it should all the time. I can drive it days without any issues then out of the blue I'll take off from a stop and it shifts extremely hard into 2nd. Other times it feels like it's slowly sliding into 2nd gear and takes longer then it should to shift. If I turn the truck off and wait about 15 seconds and start it back up it will shift without any issues and might stay that way for several days. I had autozone check it out because it kept triggering the check engine light and they said it was the transmission friction element A. So I took it to a actually mechanic and he didnt even get that code. His scanner got 2 codes reading transmission input sensor. Has anyone experienced the same problems or does anyone have some advice for me? It would be very much appreciated. Thanks
