Du-ha Underseat Storage Installed

Recommended Posts

Put it in today.

Before Pics (note the Weathertech floorliner):

Installs straight forward with the (included) nylon straps (thread thru seat belt brackets exposed when seats are up:

The jack/tool kit sungs up nicely and actually can be secured using the strap (wing nut bracket was removed)

Found a piece of carpet in the basement (cut it to order after making a template) Not sure what the functionality is.... but seemed like a good thing to do... :puke:

Started stocking it....

More commentary in next post...

Here's a pic of it installed with the seats down...

Now, given the floorliner, it fits, but the seat bracket does end up rather snug against the bin, but it also helps secure the bin in place as well.....

Overall, I like it.... I'm sure I'll find tons of junk to throw in there...

Glad to see that it all worked out for you. I didn't realize that the extended cab trucks had that hump in the middle. That's too bad, from a storage perspective.

yeah... it kinda makes that space under the rear seat tough to exploit well.

Amen on that......................It looks like my GM $119 bin that

I have in my gmt-900. The GM bin has a shallow bin in the

center where the du-ha doesn't. But no matter still nice to

keep your goodies outta site and not rolling around on the

floor.

Still neither is as nice as the GM bin that I had in my gmt-800

with the cover and lock not to mention deep. But yet again it

costs almost $400 bucks.

Looks good and glad it works with the floor liners!

Alright, I give up. What's a Da-Huh and where do I get one??? I have an 08 that looks like yours (even has the C/W grill). I like the looks of those Weathertec Mats. I assume you have them in front as well. Are the front full coverage (covers hump) as are the back one(s)? Thanks, John.

DU-Ha storage bins:

they are available thru various on-line retailers, as directly from DuHa. Right now i THINK they are having a special (FREE SHIPPING).

I assume you have them in front as well.

yes.....

Are the front full coverage (covers hump)

no...I have the center console. My front ones only cover the area in front of the seats...

I can't use a floor liner since the GM bin actually bolts to the floor of the truck

You're KIDDING?... really?

I didn't realize that... the duha does the nylon strap thingy around the belt brackets.

Well, unless you can get a hole thru a floor liner, I gurss you're right. It would kinda defeat the purpose....

Yeah, I have the GM one and it bolts right in. It has room in it for a decent amount of stuff, but that aftermarket one looks like it has a bit more room. The GM one is very sturdy though and looks like it'll hold up better. Pure speculation though...
