Without a doubt the Camaro ZL-1 and Z/28 of the current generation both feature technology typically found on premium brands' grand touring cars or on near-supercars. For the new generation Camaro, adjustable ride modes and the Magnetic Ride Control found on only the priciest GM products will find its way down the order sheet to the Camaro SS and even less costly trims. The two go hand in hand since magnetic ride control enables Chevy to make an adaptable and adjustable suspension.

According to an announcement today, the new Camaro, even in its mainstream trims below the SS, will have selectable drive modes. Throttle progression, steering, stability control and other vehicle settings will be adjustable and grouped into Snow/Ice, Tour and Sport modes. SS models will also get a Track setting.

Chevy is also promising an enhanced dual-mode exhaust system which drivers will be able to adjust from stealth to track sound settings. The new Camaro is set to be revealed May 16th.
