Three TV spots will bring into focus how GMC's truck designers and engineers use the same type of precise decision-making and execution as professional athletes and fashion designers to create trucks. Eminence Front, by the Who, provides the musical intro to the commercials. If you were a Who fan in the 1980s, you might remember that song because Daltrey is shown playing the guitar chord progression of the song and Townsend sings in the videos.

    Teaser Paragraph:

    John Goreham

    Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com

    2/17/2015

Over the past few years, off-road vehicle manufacturers of all things fun have been doing battle with our government. From the side of the manufacturers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) wants to make changes that will have unintended consequences. Furthermore, the safety mandates are said to be untested and likely to make ATVs and ROVs less user-friendly. The government sees these vehicles as tippy death traps dying for seatbelt interlocks, a wider, lower stance, passive protections like side panels where doors would be, and many other changes under the skin to make these vehicles less threatening.

Swapalease is a company that specializes in getting people into and out of leases. It acts as a broker to help existing customers find drivers who are willing to assume a lease. The company reports that the Chevy Silverado inventory it manages has jumped by almost 300% in the past two years. Over that period, considerations (searches for Silverado leases on the company's site) have increased 90%. The Ford F-150, Dodge Ram, and Toyota Tundra all also saw increases, but none quite so dramatic as the Silverado.
