The Kogod Made In America Index is an annual listing of models for sale in the US by "how American" they are. The list, of course, takes into account the location of the vehicle's assembly and its parts manufacturing origin. It also includes the location of the company's headquarters and design centers. This year, GM dominates the list. What we took from our review of the list is that the Colorado and Canyon ar the two highest ranked pickups. Ahead of the Ford F-150 and Toyota Tacoma.

With an 83% rating, the Colorado and Canyon are tied for second place overall on the list. However, there are six General Motors vehicles ahead of the Colorado and Canyon that have an 87.5% rating. The Ford F-series and the vehicles that it shares much of its content with (like the Expedition) are very close, earning an 82.5% score.

Wondering how the Silverado and Sierra do? Please see our separate post.
