Cadillac announced today that its dealers are ready to begin accepting orders for the new ATS-V series. On-line ordering begins in April. The ATS-V will be equally at home on the road or track.

The ATS-V hits the street ready to challenge the BMW M3 and M4 and Lexus RC F for prospective buyers.

Powered by a new twin-turbo V6, the ATS-V puts up big numbers. Horsepower is 455 and torque is 445 lb-ft starting at a very low 2,400 RPM. That will translate into a sub-4-second 0-60 mph time and a top speed of 189 mph. Cadillac is offering this engine package with its best 6-spoeed manual transmission. Active Rev Match, No-Lift Shifting, and launch control are included. Optional is a paddle-shifted 8-speed automatic with launch control and Performance Algorithm Shift.

Standard ATS-V Features include:

  • Brembo high-performance brake system developed for track-day performance capability straight from the factory
  • Third-generation Magnetic Ride Control, which delivers 40 percent faster damping response
  • Integrated chassis controls that provide balanced performance for touring and the track, including class-exclusive Performance Traction Management
  • Tri-compound tires offering excellent grip with extended tire wear
  • Available downforce-generating track aerodynamics package
  • Standard carbon fiber hood

The 2016 ATS-V sedan starts at $61,640 and the Coupe at $63,660. These prices will make the ATS-V very competitive in the BMW M4, Lexus RC F marketplace. Production begins this spring.
