General Motors has announced that an enhanced version of Super Cruise will roll out to six new models during the 2022 model year and twenty-two models during the 2023 model year.

The “enhanced” version of Super Cruise will gain new capabilities over the current generation. Those include:

The 2022 model year vehicles that will see this new version of Super Cruise are:

  • Cadillac Escalade
  • Cadillac CT4
  • Cadillac CT5
  • Chevrolet Silverado
  • GMC Sierra
  • GMC HUMMER EV Pickup

GM-Trucks.com was the first publication to break the news that Super Cruise would be upgraded to include trailering earlier this month.

The enhanced features will be also rolled out to 2021MY vehicles, like the Escalade, which is already on the road, showcasing the feature’s ability to be upgraded over the air. General Motors also hinted that 22 models will have Super Cruise enabled by model-year 2023

“We’re excited to expand Super Cruise to even more new models with additional capabilities to provide our customers with even more opportunities to go hands-free,” said Mario Maiorana, Super Cruise chief engineer. “The additional Super Cruise-enabled vehicles and new features are an important step toward our goal of enabling hands-free driving 95% of the time and getting people more comfortable with letting go of the wheel.”
