Cadillac is preparing to launch an all-electric Escalade, dubbed the Escalade IQ. And now we know when we’ll learn more about this next generation of premium luxury SUV.
The additional tease, which comes weeks after the initial Escalade IQ announcement, lets the world know that August 9th is the date the Escalade IQ will be revealed in New York City.
Set to be produced in GM’s Factory Zero, the Escalade IQ will be based on the same platform as the GMC HUMMER EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV. It will use GM’s Ultium platform and most likely be a tri-motor, 20 or 24-module battery configuration.
Expect 800 to 1,000 horsepower rating and, of course be loaded with lots of high-tech goodies. Ultra Cruise and a full-width pillar-to-pillar infotainment system are on the table and within the realm of possibilities.
The video also gives a few very quick teases of the Escalde IQ’s design. We’ve pulled out the most interesting ones for this article. Check back in August when we’ll have all of the details on the Escalade IQ.
